Don't they have a procurement unit, with full oversight and accountability systems? Why would they just hand over money to the service chiefs to buy arms as if they're buying groceries? Haven't they learned anything from the former chiefs and others? |

arsenal33: PDP failed Nigerians and APC hinged on their failure and took over but the issue now is that everything Nigerians cried foul during PDP era is now acceptable under APC. Were are the bring back our girls crew? Our girls are in more danger now than during PDP era. Money meant for arms diverted under PDP and Nigerians cried, the same is happening under APC and no one is crying. This government is just filled with fraudulent officials, Monguno and Buratai where not in good terms before buratais tenure ended, so I'm not surprised to hear this from monguno. If they were in good terms he would have covered buratais stinking ass. Also, if buratai is corrupt, why didn't the NSA petition the national assembly before their screening. We've seen new hardware, weaponry, sophisticated drones on the battlefield and we are expecting new fighter jets on top of the 12 Tucano planes scheduled to be delivered later this year so exactly what is the talk about nothing on the ground? What are we missing here? If what's on the ground doesn't amount to the funds given to the military, just say precisely that, but to say there's nothing on the ground is basically insulting our intelligence and asking us not to believe our eyes. |
