Suspected Fulani herdsmen have kidnapped five persons from different locations in eight communities of Ayamelum Local Government Area, Anambra State.

One of the victims, the President-General (PG) of Omor community, Mr. Francis Onwuachu, was kidnapped Friday night.

Former PG of the community, Udoji Amedu, told Daily Sun that Onwuachu’s car has been recovered by the police and taken to Ayamelum Divisional Headquarters in Anaku. He raised the alarm over the spate of killings and rape by armed herdsmen in the community.

Amedu said that the herdsmen have established contact with the community and that they demanded N10 million as ransom.

“Yes; they have established contact. They mentioned N10 million. Apart from the PG, we heard that four other persons were also kidnapped by the herdsmen,” he said.

Asked if the N10 million was for all five victims, he said it was only for Omor.

This means that the other four would also pay N10 million each; all amounting to N50 million.

“There is fear and anger in the land right now. My cousin was killed last month by Fulani herdsmen. Our people are afraid of using the roads because it’s insecure. Those who need to go to Awka or Onitsha are afraid to move. Before this incident, many of our people have been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen. There were also cases of raping of our women,” he lamented.

Efforts to speak with Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed, proved abortive as he failed to pick calls to his phone and never returned same before this report was filed.

How did they know the kidnappers are Fulani herdsmen?
This looks like kidnapping returning back to Anambra under the guise of herdsmen.
The government should be alert and protect innocent citizens from criminals. For latest freestuffs in Nigeria, please visit www.freestuffsng.com

NOT ONE PENNY WILL BE GIVEN TO THEM.

IF THEY KNOW WAT THEY WANT TO DO WITH THE FIVE PEOPLE, LET THEM DO IT.

IF ANAMBRA GIVE THEM MONEY, ANAMBRA SHOULD PREPARE TO CONTINUE GIVING THEM MONEY.

NOT EVEN 1 KOBO SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THEM.

THE PEOPLE KIDNAPPED SHOULD BE CONSIDERED DEAD AND BURIAL SHOULD BE ARARANGED FOR THRM.

AFTER THAT OTHER FULANI IN THE AREA WILL PAY WITH THEIR BLOOD.

I wonder how on earth Seun why Seun will allow such bigot to be a mod, like seriously??

Imagine how he closed a thread with an authentic link as Google just because it exposes the gross insecurity in the SW only to direct traffic to another thread that talks about similar insecurity but in another region he loves to hate?!

Seun, you have built a noble platform, please don't allow bigots to destroy it for you! This is so disgusting, jeez shocked shocked shocked

Hmnnn....and some people still don't understand what is happening in Nigeria.

In case you don't know what is happening in Nigeria. The Fulani mision is to keep Nigeria one so that they can conquer it and make it their own.

-That is why they refuse to allow the country to be divided.
- That is why they refuse to allow true federalism, with the fear that it is a step towards break up.
- That is why they pretend to be fighting bandits while actually giving them money to fund them.
- That is why Fulani can carry AK47 and kill people, but the police will arrest their victims who try to defend themselves.
-That is why they have spread themselves all over Nigeria, and they are well armed.
- That is why if you dare challenge them, they will use the state police and military against you.

I hope you understand now.

So, if you don't want to be their victim, the people have to organize themselves and fight them without depending on any government.
