This is not the time to intensify preparation, go ahead now and do your jobs. Why wait till rainy season before embarking on demolition while so many lives are at risk in those buildings. Like seriously, alot of buildings in lagos have architectural defects with a very poor foundation, that at mere sight you notice its shakings. And one thing that amazes me most is that you see people living comfortable in such buildings without considering their lives. LASBCA, please go in search of those buildings and do the needful as soon as possible.... 1 Like 1 Share |

Hmmm...... If a country really prospers, a very good indicator is the skylines of its cities. Old buildings will, as a matter of course, be brought down and replaced by newer, taller, stronger ones. Government wouldn't need to lift so.much as a finger. A prosperous people change their environment to match their status. In Nigeria, buildings are demolished to avoid collapse, not because an enterprising soul with resources has seen the potential of that location and bought it for better development. 1 Like |

Jeezuzpick: There are 2 reasons why old buildings are demolished.... 1) When it is unsafe for human occupation. 2) When a new master plan is made within that area and the area where the building is when demolished and rebuilt will add value to the economy of that area or government. That's how it's been done in climes where people who know the true value of money. 3 Likes |

Lagos state Government needs to make cost of Building Approval to be as low as N100,000. Secondly they should make it be as fast as 24 hours to 72 Hours!!! To approve a 12 storey building shouldnt take more than 72 hours. And to Approve a Storey Building should be done within 24 hours. If Lagos state can achieve this, then give the state 5 years and you will see massive constructions. Also the quality of buildings will increase tremendously. As things are right now, you can spend above 4 million to do building Approval and also pay all those agencies and their thugs that harass Engineers on site yet they wont even check quality. The reason is because they are all on targets. So money is the only thing in their minds. |

Let me introduce you to pi network Pi is a new form.of cryptocurrency ,just like bitcoin in its early stage in2008 it's being mined for free now.and the process of mining it is stress free.all you need to do is download the app sign up and click a button once every 24hrs. Though the cryptocurrency has no value now till it's listed in stock market/exchange by the need of 2021. But untill then people are mining it for free and accumulating pi coin and it has over 13million plus users and counting. Mining might stop at anytime because the coreteam are developing pi wallet and market places when they are done,it will stop. So download the app and start mining,it will not take you more than 5sec of your time everyday to do so for a brighter future when it actually becomes reality. And don't forget to verify your number or Facebook by going to your profile in the app.by doing this ,you will not loose your earning when pi goes to exchnange, If you are interested, download Pi app from play store and enter my invite code (pst4sam) on sign-up |
