For functionality. it would be nice to make your search engine time specific. cos i really don't see the sense in getting results that are over a month old when the positions have closed already. i may be wrong but i seem to get the impression that the search engine just crawls specific popular websites per country with no control whatsoever. A good job search engine is something like monster.com cos there are so many controls on results,

But nice initiative though.

if you try a search for say graphics designer in nigeria http://www.njorku.com/search/jobSearch?query=graphics+designer&country=ng&x=89&y=14 I see results as early as a few hours ago,  and I understand that some keywords show old results,  we cant do much in this case if employers havent posted jobs in the past one month

You might want to sanitize your query strings to avoid a possible hack attack.  Contact Slyrox for more info on the possibility of having your entire jobs database wiped out.

your product is here to solve a problem right? they why shift blame to another party? i did search for chemical engineering and i saw a month old result i even saw something in one of the links that said May 28 2010. though i did not click on it. Trust me a frustrated jobless Nigerian youth after using your engine twice and getting such results wont come back to your site again. cyber cafe time cost wella o and the thing is miserably slow too.

what I meant was njorku.com provides search to jobs available in Nigeria and we dont create jobs. so if there are not jobs, our engine wont do much to you in that category.
and definitely cyber cafe time cost a fortune thats why njorku is needed to help you buy 10mins and scan most nigerian jobs available for you in say 5mins then go home and try again tomorrow
you can also have it on the go www.njorku.com/mobile on your phone and we hope MTN nigeria will accept to offer this free like o.facebook.com
but we are not yet perfect but not as bad as you put it.

well i might go the way of some ppl and stop reviewing, ppl ask for a review and it becomes a court section where the witness is being cross examined by a criminal defense attorney with a point to prove (prolly has never lost a case in his life), i prolly might have said Nigeria but i meant Africa

and noticed that the first 4 results are a month old but the 5th to 10th are about a week old, did you notice that too ?? its still not perfect as we have to make those first 4 that are a month old disappear
so thanks that is noted, any more reviewers ?

As your site is neat and clean I'd suggest having some visual aids like most viewed jobs, also your site is linking off to other job sites which are more establised/trusted than yours and there will be tendency for folks to stay on those other job sites and not return to your site

its a bit minimalist but not a bad effort at all,

as for they leaving to other sites we cant do much, we are only a search tool
but we will try out other options to make it sticky

Issues that affects yo site directly as written in the ebook

1, 4, 5, 6, 11 & 12.

For example lets pick issue 11, SQL Injection.

Looking at these, http://www.njorku.com/search/jobSearch?query=f&country=-1&x=27&y=24 , its quite obvious your 'x' & 'y' are meant to be just digits. Yo code reads

$_GET['id']

. . A more secured one would've been

$id = (int) Arr::get($_GET, 'id');

. Dig? Bottom line, All user input should be validated and/or type cast.

Also, yo /jobSearch stoppd working.
