God's word said as Christians we are no more under obligation to keep the Sabbath day anymore! Colossians 2:16
I know you love to continue with this Pagan custom called birthday celebration and nobody is holding you back from pleasing yourself but know that it has nothing absolutely NOTHING to do with the true God! smiley

Really?

You don't know what colossians2:16 is saying.

Jesus said nothing even a T or dot will be done away from the law, so either you or Jesus is liaring, and I know it is you.

Sun-Day is the worship of Sun and the Roman empire conquered the world to set the standard for working day.
All these we know but God's word has nothing to do with marking of days anymore, it was established so that God's people, their slaves and beasts of burden can have a time to rest! Exodus 23:12
So Holy-Day (holiday) as instituted according to God's law has a specific purpose (that people serving God may rest) and since we have time to rest there is no need going back to the old covenant but birthday celebration has nothing absolutely NOTHING to do with God whether in the old or new covenant! smiley

Really?

Do you know that the sabbath day was insistuted as a memorial of God creating the Earth and not just for Human rest?

I am afraid I can't help you there. I posted a response, if you have a problem with it, we go from there instead.

The problem is you fail to see your wrong.

You quoted me insinuating that I wanted to give a new commandments .

Who where you referring to as pretending as God forbids us celebrating birthdays?
Re: Is It Ok For A Christain To Celebrate His Or Her Birthday? by MaxInDHouse(m): 3:04am On Mar 31
The law Jesus is referring to wasn't the extended 600+ laws given to Moses, that was the covenant between God and the nation of Israel. By the time Jesus was commissioning Christianity he clearly stated that all those laws were instituted just to buttress two commandments! Matthew 22:36-38

So with the LOVE for God and neighbours at the back of your mind you'll continue to serve God and live peaceful with your neighbours in peace.

When God instituted the Sabbath it was within just one nation but today Jesus has established another covenant that's why a non Israelites like you is talking about the God of Abraham and the place where you are living today Sabbath doesn't work otherwise you'll loose so many things since it's not in the Constitution of your own country unlike when it was clearly stated in the laws Moses gave the Israelites.

My friend, i know how it hurts to hear that what you cherish so much has nothing to do with God but if you still want to continue it's OK just know that it's not done by God's ancient servants.

Thank you! smiley

You can keep the Sabbath my friend but people who don't are free from guilt if they love God and their neighbours. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph had nothing to do with Sabbath yet they're God's friends, WHY? because they love God and neighbours! Matthew 22:36-38 smiley

You are confused.
From Adam to Joseph and Jesus all kept the sabbath and will do in the new Heaven and Earth God will make.

Isaiah 66:23.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

Abraham kept it, that made God to testify.

Genesis 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

It's obvious you do not read or understand what you read in the Bible.

First God insistuted the Sabbath day after creation, When there was no nation.

Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. Genesis 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

It was made for Men not just Jews as said by Jesus.

Mark 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

It is called God's holy day.

Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

Love is the fufillment of the Commandments not the other way around.

Love is the Fulfillment of the Law—Romans 13:8-10

It's funny how you claim the sabbath was meant only for Israel, does that mean that Christians are free to steal, lie, commit fornication, kill and commit any other of the 9 commandments?

Would you do anything to hurt someone you love?
Well the GREATEST commandment says LOVE your neighbour as yourself!
Anybody can say "I love God" after all nobody can see how you are doing so but everyone can see it when you truly love your neighbour! IJohn 4:7-8
Go and do any of those things you're saying if you truly love the victims of your acts! smiley

This is human logic and your thinking.

God's word says to love him is to keep his commandments. (10commandments)

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

The first 4 Commandments are kept to demonstrate our love for God, while the other 6 are kept to demonstrate our love for our neighbor's.

God did not write 600laws with his fingers he wrote only 10.

Wait is it not the same Jesus that said to gain eternal life we should keep the 10commandments?

Humble yourself to learn my guy, God wrote ten in TWO TABLETS because Moses challenged God saying: "There has never been any nation having such numerous LAWS, the Israelites won't believe all these" that's why God purposely wrote Ten out of it in stone tablets as a testimony that the rest comes from the person who penned down those words in two stone tablets! smiley

Do you know that the 10 was existing before God gave them to Moses and Israel on mount Sinai?

There was just one law that existed before the time of Moses and that God gave Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, ever since then faithful people live on conscience there was NO LAW!

The law said "you must not kill" yet do you remember what drove Moses out of Egypt? Well i'll remind you, he was a MURDERER!
So if God has told the Israelites not to kill do you think Moses will singlehandedly kill and bury a human like himself?

My friend stop deceiving yourself! undecided

So it became a law because the scriptures says God rested shey?

What about when God said be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection all other creatures?

Why don't you go and subdue Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Crocodiles, Pythons and other deadly prays?
After all that was a direct order given to Adam and Eve!

Your comparison is lame.

It became a law because God wrote it down with his fingers as eternal law that can never be changed.

There is no evidence for it in the bible, stop claiming God 's people did not keep it.

From Adam,Eve,Abraham ,Noah to Jesus,Moses ,Paul,Mary and the early Christains and Gentiles all kept the sabbath day.

I laugh at you, you keep boxing yourself into a corner.

So how did Joseph know that Audeltry was sin?
How did Sodom and Gomorrah sin against God if there was no law than.
Of course the bible says sin is not imputed where there is no law. Romans 5:13 ►
Sin is defined as transgression of God's law.

The question is which law did Sodom and Gomorrah transgress?

The explanation in this commentary is completely off the farm. What does it take to understand that the LAW is as ETERNAL as ALAHAIM is. The LAW being an express image of HIS character. HE is the same, HE doesn't change. The one thing which didn't come from inspiration the law of YAHAWAH ALAHAIM written with HIS very Finger is so grossly misunderstood.

John 3:19 "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."

Titus 1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his Commandments.

1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his Commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth his Commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his Commandments.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his Commandments: and his Commandments are not grievous.

2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his Commandments. This is the Commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the Commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the Commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his Commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Birthdays are not celebrated to mark the day, but are celebrated to thank God for been one more year older.
The bible is filled with age of different great men who their ages were documented.
Starting from Adam, Even Abraham God's friend threw a feast for Isaac when he became about 6months old.

If pagans keep feasts why do Christians still keep feasts?
