A few guys started it , they got rich. It took less than 8 year's for the youths country wide to embrace it. And you say culture doesn't matter. We should ignore little bad eggs that infect the rest. Yes blame it on poverty but remember some Nigerians are still there working their backs off despite the economic hardship |

Are you sure some of them are not programmers doing remote jobs or cryptocurrency/ forex traders? Owning a laptop and an iPhone does not make you a fraudster. |

Imagine the number of youths in this country, like example if you check all the universities in the country you will find out that 40% are Yahoo boys. Then the ones that are not in school who practice G plus, then the graduates that are frustrated. Rather than arrest this boys the government should do something about it now. Because the mindset these people are growing with won't do the Future politicians any good. We are criticizing the present government but ours will be worse because it will comprise of former Yahoo boys and ex yahoo convicts and the friends of these yahoo guys because them de get plenty friends. So y'all shouldn't brace yourselves with the few arrests you see online. Boys full ground like Dangote cement. And the ones that just came into the game are working day and night to get their first cashout while those that have cashed out endlessly can't seem to find any other work to suit their comfort and lavish lifestyle. Lastly, the earlier the government realize this is not their 90's where there was absence of credible internet connection the better for them. If you go to the Western world nobody really works hard anymore, they apply artificial intelligence couple with good networking to get rich no be to dey waka under sun dey mumu yourself 3 Likes |

What kind of poor journalism is this.... efcc arrested suspected fraudsters, in a hideout in bla bla bla, items recovered include bla bla. yet no description of the criminal act committed. owning laptop, phones, is probably the offence huh... 1 Like 1 Share |

Nigeria is a crime inc. These guys are just some of the young victims of a rogue system. They are more earnest than the thieving elders such as Tinubu, because at least they try to steal from oyinbos, instead of their own people like the so-called elders do. |
