DAILY POST gathered that the gunmen numbering about 50 who were protesting against the Local Government Chairman attacked the police and military men mobilized to the local government for peace-keeping.

A police source told DAILY POST that one CSP Benedict Okoh Ajide who led the squad to the LG fell to the bullets of the hoodlums while the driver of the hilux van was burnt alongside the vehicle.

Shey na ESN be this oo abi? People have to know tensions are very high this period. Many People are nursing various degree of anger and vengeance against law enforcement agencies especially police and the army partly due to their reign of impunity over the years which reached a crescendo when they killed youths at Lekki.

Buhari has failed and the lives of law enforcement now mean nothing! A whole CSP killed but do I care? No! Those CSPs are at the very top of the crimes happening in the police force!

Good. Whenever Nigerians are protesting against bad rulers, military men must stay away or face the consequences.

Sh*t is getting real in this country. If the security agents are no more secured and Power Holding Company offices run on generators, isn't is safe to say it's time we all look for the nearest available exit out of this shithole country?

Well it can only get worse if the government continue to be like this. The frustration and aggression theory as propounded by dollard gives a vivid insight on the situation of things in Nigeria currently. The people have been oppressed for too long and are frustrated with the system hence the violent reaction.

Any body responsible for these deeds have taken a loan that will surely be repayable someday...you dont just go about killing our force men and expect to live happily ever after....may God bring immediate judgement to all the enemies of Nigeria...let their punishment be delivered to them speedily as in the days of old...may they never know peace in this life and in that which is to come..Amen..enough of all this violence already.

As a security personnel you should be alert, you're the number one enemy of criminals and that gun or weapon you're carrying is wanted by criminals.

Don't be a drunk at the war front.

bampeh prefers active and conscious policemen

When the same criminal "youths" descend on your street. It is still the same police you wish death on that you will cry to.

I've be waiting for this payback since army invaded the South East. Any deaths as a result of altercation between the military or the police and the unknown gunmen, the Fulani's are responsible. This is part of the reason why the country needs restructuring and Fulani's have been standing on the way. Restructuring will bring about regionalism so that people can handle their grievances at the regional levels, that is the best way to resolve most of the problems bedeviling the country right now, some people are feeling marginalized in the current system which is obviously not working, but regional governments will give all the subnational groups some level of control in their own affairs of governance, and that is the only way to douse the tensions.

They are ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists provoking the federal military forces to attack wherever the terrorists struck.

Nnamdi Kanu may soon claim that his forces were behind the attack, the same way Osama Bin Laden would claim every terrorists attack on Americans anywhere
