Wickedfacts:
Delta state will not get a kobo from that money since they decided to be stupid. Not like if they got it, the ordinary Deltas would have benefitted from it anyway.

When Ibori was on trial, the Attorney-General of Delta swore an affidavit on oath before the Court that Delta state's money was not missing and that even if it was missing, it was the Attorney General of Delta state who should prosecute the matter and not the Attorney General of the Federation. That's why the $15M Ibori wanted to use in bribing Ribadu, it was forfeited to the FG since Delta denied ownership.

If Delta is not careful, the former AG of Delta will go to jail over the lies in the affidavit he swore. Yet, 1 kobo, Delta will not see.
if this your argument is true then Delta state will not see a kobo from the money

IBORI BOYS ARE STILL IN POWER.

It would be wise if the federal government do not send the money directly to the coffers of the Delta state government instead the money should be used to develop federal investment in Delta state.

The money can be used to fund the federal maritime university in Okerenkoko, federal polytechnic Orogun and the Warri seaport.

They can used it to build a federal skill acquisition centre in Delta state.

Areas like Patani, Oleh, Ozoro, Ughelli, etc should feel federal presence with this Ibori loot.

I do not agree that the money should be used to develop other regions.

It is Delta state money that was looted by ex-governor James Ibori during his period as governor of Delta state.

THE GOOD PEOPLE OF DELTA STATE SHOULD NOT BE SHORT CHANGED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OVER A CORRUPT TENDENCIES THAT WAS PERPETRATED IN OFFICE BY ONE OF THE SONs OF THE STATE.

so what stops FG from using the money to fund projects in Delta State?

The argument that since Delta State Government denied that no money was missing from its treasury, so can't claim ownership is neither here nor there as subsequent revelations have proved otherwise.

Former Governor Uduaghan, a cousin of Thief James Ibori, did all he could to shield him from prosecution.

The British court verdict has shown clearly that officials of the Delta State Government lied on oath and that the said loot was from the treasury of Delta State.

The people of the state who had been brutally raped, first by Thief Ibori would then be handed over to the Federal Government to be completely devoured if the FG goes ahead to appropriate the said loot to itself.

Talk of double jeopardy!

Delta state government has come out severally to say that their money isn't missing. That means the money was not stolen from the state treasury. What this means is that the money gotten from Ibori is as an individual and not an official of the state. Now what the OP should ask himself is that does it mean that any funds seized from an indigene of Delta state belongs to the state? When a drug trafficker from delta state is arrested and his money seized, who owns the money? Delta or federal?

Oke should focus on his Itel job and forget politics! The same way baba said abacha did not loot should return the looted money to Delta state for it to be relooted?

Same delta state government who has refused to admit their ex governor looted the state treasury? Same delta state government headed by the former governor’s stooge?

This is commendable.
Good governance.

Statistics has it that the money Ibori looted can conveniently build 15 world standard airports!!

May all looters of our national and state treasury all perish, along with the small criminals supporting them online and offline.
Thieves everywhere.
Amen! Very illogical submission by Falana and the OP! Did the Plateau and Bayelsa denied the stolen money was from their coffers?

The fact still remains that the money belongs to Delta people.... The FG can decide to rob them.
