ADP Gubernitorial candidate HON. Nonso Okeke has condemned in strong terms the assassination attempt On the APGA candidate and former CBN GOVERNOR Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.

HON. Okeke while speaking with newsmen said that Wednesday incident was uncalled for maintaining that people should respect the sanctity of life. He added that no amount of provocation or contest for any exalted office should warrant anybody to get to the level of inflicting injury to anyone talk of taking a life.

He pointed out that politics should be issue based and not anchored on violence as the latter is demeaning and a sign of cowardice.
The governorship hopeful called for calm and urged for a thorough investigation into the incident by security agencies saying that the culprits should be brought to book, reiterating that no one should take the law into his hands

He insisted that the incoming elections must be peaceful as it is not about flexing muscles but about contributing to issues that will put the state on a global scale thereby improving the quality of life and the economy of the state.

He described Prof. Soludo as a national figure and peaceful man who has contributed his quota to the development of the country and as such shouldn't be visited with such violence.

The youthful aspirant also cautioned the youths not to be useful tools in the hands of greedy and desperate politicians who do not mean well for them but only want to use them to get to the position and syphon the collective good of all. He also advised the parents to at all times know the whereabouts and activities of their children.
