I might have to agree with you. And it seems like since then, the next successive leaders keep bringing the standard down as the year passes by.

We complained abt Jonathan, now see what we have.

Some of people shouting Obj up there lack basic understanding. Obasanjo had the best opportunity to turn this country around but rather destroyed it. He introduced do or die election to Nigeria and result is money bag politician we are seen today.

Yaradua is only good because he died early if he lived longer it would have been a different story

It was also positive the way I remember
Frankly I don't even know the positive direction of Yaradua, Vision 2020? Boko Haram? Reminds of this Batman saying "You either die a hero or live long enough to become a villian"
Yaradua died too early to become hated

Non.

They were all epic failures.

Obasanjo AKA Tyrant, Emperor,

He had the opportunity for 8 years to solidify democratic tenets, yet he failed miserably.

It was during his time that Shari'a law was introduced to North, rubbishing the constitution.

During his time, a sitting governor in Anambra state was kidnapped nad forced to swear another oath which went against his first oath of office. Yet Obasanjo patted the kidnappers on the back and told the world it was a PDP family affair.

During his time, he used the military to wipe out an entire village called Odi in the South-south.

During his time, a whole serving minister of Justice was assassinated and nothing came out of the investigation. In fact, one of the suspects, Omisore who was arrested and placed in jail contested from jail for senate and won.

The worst was when he gave away a portion of Nigeria's territory called the Bakasi peninsula to Cameroon without notice to the other arms of government.

Yar'Adua AKA baba jeje, sick man

His reign wasn't long and he did deal a heavy blow to Boko Haram. I'm quite certain if he was the president till 2015, there's be nothing like Boko Haram ever and the Chibok girls and Leah Sharibu would be in their parents' houses today.
Whatever good he did and might have done was rubbished by the secrecy surrounding his death and the way his wife wanted to take over government. In other climes she would have been shot.

Goodluck Jonathan aka ineffectual buffoon, baba shayo

He came in with good luck and thought all he needed to run the government was good luck.

On a good day, this man should never have even become a ward counsellor, but we are in Nigeria.

Here's a man who would get drunk before facing an audience because he had stage fright.

He rigged Ekiti elections.

He barred federal lawmakers from entering the compound of their chambers and those ones had to scale fence. cheesy

He prevented a serving governor's jet from landing at the airport tarmac.

He gave road arrest to members of opposition party who were traveling by road for their annual convention in Abuja.

He denied the abduction of the Chibok school girls which made it impossible to rescue those girls till today.
.
He purposely left Boko Haram to fester and destroy the Northeast of Nigeria, because he knew that if there was strife in the NE, there won't be elections there and he was weak electorally in that region.

He went to Katsina to dance azonto even when bombs were going off at the bus park in Abuja and foreign dignitaries and envoys were donating blood up and down for the wounded in Abuja.

Under his watch, corruption reigned supreme. People like Diezani, Stella oduah, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, his wife mama piss, and so many other ministers who served under him depleted the national treasury and raked up enough debts to sink a continent.

He sent soldiers to mop up a private citizen's book from every hook store in Abuja because the author wrote things about him he didn't like.

During the elections, he emptied the nation's treasury of dollars which he used to bribe every interest group in Nigeria including the association of witches and wizards.

I'll stop here for Jonathan.

Buhari aka Jibril, Jibril, General, Bigot, baba go-slow

A man who helped plunge Nigeria into two recessions within 3 years.

Rumoured to be battling dementia.

Never seem to have the capacity to arrest bandits and Fulani killers and kidnappers.

A well known bigot.

The man fighting corruption using a broomstick

Clueless about what's going on in his country.

Corruption has never been worse.

In fact if you thought corruption was terrible during Jonathan's time, today it has morphed into corruption pro-max.

Man doesn't care, he's as dead as a doorpost.

Whatever.
