I need a single room as well. Agent fees in Ibadan is ludicrous. A space of 40k, agent charges could go as much as 30k or more. So terrible. Pls I need a single room urgently.

I don’t know they do the calculation; I know they are entitled to 10% of the rent but what I see most times is like 50% and most times dey raise the cost of rent .... have been looking for rent for almost three months now agent charges is always chasing me away

The calculation is somehow

most times, there is a long list of agents, and each must collect. if you find the only true agent, it won't be more than 10 to 15k after the normal rent for a single room or single room self con.

If you're on the search for accommodation in Ibadan, just budget ×2 of the amount of your proposed rent because some agents dues are even more than the main rent.

The agent that got mine, collected 50% of my rent. Ib is turning to something else
