Ur wife is entering ur world and not the other way around

In marriage there's no equality, there the dominant gender and the submissive gender

I rest my case.

Exactly man... The girl I am currently dating is somewhere close to a midclass family and I have never had this kind of mutual effort and stress-free relationship for a long time.

It also reinforces the idea THAT our definition of love or relationship is HIGHLY based on the kind of home we all come from. What this means is that if you are from a home where expression of love and affection is an everyday activity, you are likely to also propagate the same expression wherever you go.

Now, a girl who is from a home that is lacking such expression is likely not to express such to a guy who came from well-groomed home. It is this clash of backgrounds that often leads to traumatized relationships in many. This is because the person they are expressing love, care and kindness is NOT used to such gesture and they can't relate or understand its value.

This, aside from the need to keep and sustain wealth, is why the Rich only Marry Rich...

This very write up points more to a broken home than poverty being the problem.

Some peeps from broken homes have this problem of propagating love cause they didn't experience it.

Hello,

I will like guys to share their experience dating Nigerian broke girls from poor homes.

I personally have had an awful experience with them and from observations, most have identical patterns in handling relationships, which is why I vowed after the last one never to go near anyone again. Yup...I told the last girl to her face that I do not want to go near any girl from her kind of background till I die.

Things I noticed about them are that they are often greedy, selfish, self-centered, unaffectionate, exploitative, and money-focused. Most do not even call.

Are my observations correct?

However, I do not want to conclude but will like to hear from others in order to be certain that I am not stereotyping or generalizing.

What Has Been Your Experience Dating Nigerian Girls From Poor Homes?

Hmmm! Well i know a lady from a very very poor home who will never ever and has never ever demanded a dime from me since i knew her 6years ago and even whenever i choose to give her by force, it is her father and brothers that will thank me...which simply means she tells her dad and brothers about it

I began to think she is an ogbanje cos to me that is very strange. I felt she just don't want anything from me in particular but ehen i asked her if she gets money from other men she said never , that she just feels that no man should spend a kobo on her except the man who marries her and that she is never interested in material things she can't afford...always seen on simple braids and simple fabrics.

And guess what? This lady is a paragon of beauty and if she wants to, she can make millions with her beauty from deep pockets men. See some decent ladies still dey o.

Just that situation wont let me marry her else i don't mind at all cos her type is very very rare.

A hoe is no respecter of wealth class.... I've seen rich whoring gold digging social climbers, I've seen women from modest backgrounds who are quite well trained and hard working. It depends.

This post would've made some sense if you were referring to just your experience alone. The mentality that 'POOR' people see relationships as an avenue to escape poverty isn't entirely wrong. You've had a few sour encounters. So what?... undecided

It doesn't mean everyone's that way. It might be hard but you should try to see the best in people while watching for any red flags. Even the worst people can change.

It's good to see relationships for what they are - 2 people/friends who become inseperable partners because they enjoy the company of the other, regardless of their background/Social Class... Tch. But I guess these days, things are not always what they seem. tongue
Where in my post did I allerge that ALL ARE LIKE THAT? point it out, please.

Both are same jare... most times, the homes lack deep relationships between parents and kids and this is often manifested in the relationship those kids have outside their homes.

It is not a full one so no wahala. I just wanted to buttress my point that there are ladies from very humble background in this same naija who have all it takes to milk men but still do not demand and yes that was years ago and she is about 30 now.

okay. I understand but I wasn't insinuating that ALL of them are like that.

It just never worked for me cos I actually want effort from the other person, which hardly ever happened.

See i think this thing is so twisted. That a lady likes money does not make her a bad lady and a lady can love money and also have great attributes and you may find one that is not demanding but she has some other terrible attributes that any man can hardly cope with.

Anything or any girl that will give me headaches will not be accepted into my space. I am very gentle person and my mind is my most power asset. So stressing my mind unnecessarily is a no no and I also know my worth is hard to come by based on what I bring to the table...

I can't settle for less any more

Who among you is rich in the real sense of the word?

We are all poor. Make I hear word.

The way i see it, honestly there's really no difference because some girls from poor homes are satisfied with what they have and what they don't have they work for while some from rich homes can never be satisfied even if u cut ur throat. But in all it all boils down to their characters and upbringing sha..

Rich or poor home girl wey wan hustle u go hustle u

My concern about this thread is that most posters are just using the word "they" when we know that over 70% of Naija population are living in poverty! Does that means that all the posters here and their female siblings are from rich homes?
