Why You're Not Making Sales Part 2 by ennyspalace(f): 3:33pm On Apr 07, 2021
In 2018, I was given ₦100,000 by my dad to start a business of my choice

He did this so my brother would stop bothering him about not helping us establish a business

My dad said the 100k is a loan and we're to pay him back his money after 365 days

I had Just finished learning *quack fashion design* and was eager to start my own business
I didn't want to just sew for people, I also wanted to.sell stuffs so I decided to sell Adire(tie and dye) and Asooke Fabrics(Traditional wears for occasions)

I bought my machine and went to Abeokuta to get various Adire fabrics

I also got Asooke from a weaver at Ilorin
In all honesty, I don't like sewing, I still don't but I thought I had what it takes to market/sell my fabrics

I was still in school then
I'm still in school though
Another school
So, I would carry the heavy sack and move around from hostel to hostel, places to places
To show people my Fabrics

Omo people can frustrate you oo‍♀️‍♀️
I didn't sell o even the ones that bought was on credit and the way people price stuffs ehn, you will feel like crying

In short, I couldn't make Sales and couldn't refund the money

These fabrics stayed in my room for more than a year o
Later I just did Giveaway ni cos I was really tired of the whole thing
By then I was already back home
And anytime I offended my parents, the issue of the unrefundable capital will come up

Even my sewing machine was not in use

One particular hot day, my dad said something that really hurt me
I cried my eyes out

I kept wondering how people make it in this business line

*Value is what converts to Money*

When I had money, I lacked Knowledge (value)

But when I was broke, Value paved way

Whatever, you do, always gain Value‼️

*Why are you not Making Sales*

*YOU DON'T LIKE TO SELL*
The way we were brought, we've been made to believe that Selling is for the poor

That

It's either you go to school or end up selling on the streets

We were made to believe that you can't choose both, you can only have one

It's so sad that many have grown to believe this subconsciously and have influenced the way we live

A child's developmental stage is between 0-7years

Anything this child learns at this age spans stays with him for life

So, hearing about Bro Tunde who is a mechanic because he didn't go to school has staged a false believe in our subconscious that we can't make it unless we go to school

Now, I'm not saying going to school is wrong o

But that mindset has to change if you want massive sales in your business

*Stop thinking of selling as a compensation plan for being broke because it is Not*

Whether you sell or not, you're being sold too

You buy data
You pay NEPA
You take transport
You pay school fee and the likes

You think that's o.k but you still think it's not O.k to for you to sell

Sir
Ma

Change your Mindset

Is someone following

*2. You're inconsistent*

Yea, you're not making sales because you're inconsistent

How can you post you advertise your goods/services only once A week or 2weeks in a month?

How na

Today you post on Social media.
Tomorrow you don't‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️
And you want to sell

Sell like A prostitute

Sell like A suya man

Be Brutal about Advertising

Be without shame

Advertise ruthlessly

Nobody is paying your bills, why should you care?‍♀️

A suya man shows up EVERY DAY

If you get to your favorite suya spot and you can't find him, you go vex

Social media sites that converts

WhatsApp
Facebook
Instagram
Twitter
YouTube
LinkedIn

Always show up every day

*3. You have the wrong Audience*

How will you make sales when you keep advertising Lamborghini to Primary school students

You need to study your Audience
And know what they want

If you're uncomfortable with your Audience, change them
You can do this through networking

It's either you change your products/services to fit your Audience needs/pains/ desires or you change your Audience to fit the products/services you're offering

This is specific to WhatsApp

However, Facebook is a world where you can traffic your specific audience

You can never go wrong with Facebook

You need to be conversant with Market research

A typical example is this class that's holding

I noticed that some biz owners on my contact list sells the wrong way

I know this because I've been in their shoe before
I know what they're doing wrong and I have the solution

Hence, this class
So, you need to enter your prospects/ clients mind to know what they want
Are you with me?

It's very wrong❌❌❌❌
This is not how to sell❌❌❌

If after this class, you say something like that You'll see me in your dreams oo with Koboko

*Stop being Desperate*
Nobody wants to buy from a desperate person

Last one for tonight

*5. You don't know your worth*
See, because we are already exposed to the mindset that if we sell, people will see us as poor,

We tend to shrink our worth

A lot of online sellers are battling with self esteem

Especially when they don't make sales

You start saying,

*If not for the situation I'm in, will I be selling sososo and so?*
[06/04, 20:15] Enny's Palace:
For God's sake, if you're not comfortable selling, then Stop it

*You should only sell what you have become*

*Don't ever sell what you've not become*

This is where Brand comes in

Sir, Ma
Make yourself a Brand first

Your business Brand is different from your personal brand

Your Personal brand is what people perceives you as.....

And frankly, people will only call you what you call yourself or what you depict yourself to be

Don't take rubbish all in the name of Selling stuff thinking this will make people patronise you more

It won't!

Know your Value‼️
Brand Yourself‼️

When you brand yourself, people will respect you

Also knowing your worth, you'll realise that there is only so much you can give

People are naturally drawn to value givers

No one wants to be friends with anyone not adding value

Apply this things and your sales will increase
Hope you got value?
