Nigeria is the seventh most populous country in the world with a population of over 210 million citizens. What is even more interesting is about 70% of this population are young people. Which means more than half of people living in Nigeria are in their prime, agile, smart and innovative.

One of the problems Nigeria has is its inability to harness the potential of its young people. The government has failed to understand the power in human resources i.e the youth, which the country obviously has in abundance.

Instead we see situations where the young people are told that they are too young to get involved, public offices filled with aging citizens who should have retired years back and government schemes for youth are nothing more than distributing a little amount of money to a lucky few. A country with over 100 million youth has nothing to show for it.

Rather than wait till forever for the government to invest in its young people, responsible Nigerians are taking it into their hands to develop its young population. One of such scenarios I have come across is Fin-tech, Ahioma.

Ahioma.com is revolutionizing buying, selling and the entire marketplace. Ahioma is a virtual market that aids in bridging the gap between all business owners and customers to enable more sales and convenience for buyers. They are literally taking the physical market as you know it and giving it a virtual presence so you can visit any market in Nigeria, buy any product from any shop of your choice and get it delivered to you from anywhere you are in Nigeria. In less than a year this company has been able to get on-board 2000+ shops in over 100 markets in Nigeria. They help sellers sell more, buyers buy with ease and even provide employment for thousands of other young people who can register as shop owner’s assistants. In the next couple of years Ahioma has the potential of being one of the biggest fin-tech in Nigeria.

This mega fin-tech is being ran from start to finish by young people who in fact happen to be undergraduates. These undergraduates are equipped with numerous talents and skills to effectively run such an organisation and they are very good at it. The entire structure of this fin-tech is a marvel to behold by creating a unique commerce ecosystem where everyone eis at an advantage.

Even while in school, coupled with the numerous challenges that Nigeria students are faced with, a group of undergraduates are building and growing the next big thing this country has ever known. They have defiled all odds to develop an innovative platform that cuts across all industries and are working day and night, all year round to manage and grow it and I strongly believe that in no distance time this group of young people doing amazing things with the Ahioma platform will be recognised worldwide.

You can be a part of this amazing platform by registering your shop, ordering a products from any shop on the platform or earn unlimitedly by becoming a shop owner's assistant. Visit www.ahioma.com to find out more.
