Fayemi and Osinbajo stand the greatest chances: besides the religion card, they pose the least threats to the outgoing administration and northern hegemony.
Experience has shown that an outgoing administration usually supports and installs a successor they perceive as level-headed, not ruthless, not shrewd and loyal... Obasanjo did it in 2007, of all the political heavyweights vying for the presidency, he chose the meek duo of Yar'Adua and Jonathan., Oshiomhole did it in 2016, picking Obaseki ahead of other more ruthless politicians, etc.
Any of Fayemi or Osinbajo paired with a very ruthlessly strong northern Muslim VP is the perfect combo for the outgoing Buhari administration.

Osinbanjo is more cosmopolitian and accomodating than Tinubu.

Osinbanjo enjoy acceptability in the south south and south east region than Tinubu.

When Tinubu become president he will use the office to line his pocket with public funds and then also divert public funds towards funding his ailing businesses such as Oando plc etc.
