Probably because demand still outweighs supply. It is up to government to give and enforce condition. Hold your government responsible.
cornelin:
Why are refineries that are meant to refine crude oil be given licence to import refined oil... What's the sense?
Later now, we will be hearing Dangote did not finish building his refinery but chose to be importing refined oil

Some of the refineries listed here were among those in the other list.

All the Akwa Ibom refineries were on the other list. Who are we to believe?

I don't think these refineries are fully functioning but if they are then Nigeria will not be better.

Delta State has the highest numbers of refinerise but today when you go to Delta state you will see people living on top of water like ilaje or egun people in lagos.

Below is a list of private companies with a licence to operate a refinery:

Out off all these licences, only two (Dangote and WalterSmith) are building refineries.

While the former is building a brick and mortar refinery with the largest refining capacity available, the latter has settled for a modular one.

One they are done and begin to control the market, y'all will start screaming up and down and saying tribalism, nepotism, favoritism etc

Why are there so many dumb illiterates on nairaland? Can a license function on its own without building refineries?

The sooner you realize that most people on this forum are poor, frustrated, dumb, unexposed and sometimes teenage souls, the better for you.

You may be exchanging words here with one poor frustrated hunter inside one bush.
