Religion is not making ya think that’s why we have to stop such expansion. It’s making our people pray instead of thinking and working. Asian countries are not religious so they don’t need any super powers to solve their problems. Soon they will tell you to fast and pray for Nigeria to be better and you all will follow suit sadly. It’s causing more harm than good

You are barely thinking if you believe any of your
baseless assertions/assumptions.

Please, go and investigate the religion of Asian people and stop attributing their progress to atheism. When you bring back their religion results, inform us all, because religion is everywhere. Yours is a stale argument.

Once more, channel your infrastructural grievances to the government you elected and stop looking for how churches are to blame for your taxes being stolen by those leaders. Who told you it is the church that owes you national development?

What is the function of government? Who made you promises? Who is responsible for fulfilling them?

I don’t mean to invalidate your argument. But this corrupt government and the ones before it is made up of church goers and Muslims too.

Church goers (calling them Christians would be an insult to true and pure Christianity) and Muslims will still attend these big buildings (on Sundays & Fridays respectively) scattered across the nation and still end up practicing their corrupt lifestyle in the public and private sectors.

Hypocrisy, ignorance and selfishness (including tribalism and religious bigotry) are the reasons Nigeria is in its current state.

He cannot put national development squarely on the church, unless he really isn't thinking, because that is not the Church's responsibility. It's like him asking the government why they haven't healed the sick and spread the Word.

He should even be commending churches for opening universities and hospitals, and building roads that his government never would.

People are their own problem, irregardless of religion. You don't need religion to know that if you steal taxes it will reduce development — yet people do it then blame churches. That people are members of a religion and do these things doesn't mean that their religion supports them.

It just means that Nigerian society values corruption and theft more than development. That is no fault of temples or mosques.

Same guy probably cheated in exams and pays bribes, but, behold, the church is the scapegoat.

Valid points.

Religion is not the problem, it’s the hypocrisy of the people who claim to practice them.

The government has done their part by not fulfilling their promises the church is making it worse by not letting people know they can Think and work and make solutions. We are not saying atheism helped Asia but they don’t have a religion where their leaders will
Attribute their problems to spiritual attacks and enemies . They don’t have a religion that promises heavenly rewards while living in bondage on earth. Religion in Africa is just an opium of the masses. We can’t worsen it. What’s the essence of the new church? Propagating then gospel of an Isreali? What’s the percentage of Christians in Isreal itself? Wake up and don’t be gullible . The heaven you all are pursuing is not real just a fallacy and your pastors know bu since you all don’t read outside your bible they will extort you with fake prophesies and give back crumbs to you. They are part of the problem go and good about the pyramid of captitalism. You will understand how the elites are using religious leaders to control the masses. WAKEUP

No one is against you having a church but making it a priority up to the extent of splashing 160b on a building that has little or nothing to contribute rather than dump people into false indoctrination of heaven and hell and also painting AFrican culture and tradition as evil is what we don’t need again. The church has succeeded in lying each day about our identity. They have always taught us to view ourselves trough the lens of the so called missionary who are slave masters. The church has not helped and is not helping . They make 100m by extorting you then give you back 1m and you think they have done good. You all need to wake up. Africans with Isreali Saviours. WAKEUP

If there was no living faith church, would there be a school? Would there be a young man gainfully employed like the Architect in the OP? Look dude, you are stressing me. You shouldn't legislate over what you have no knowledge on. I'm not holding brief for those that practice the Christian religion though, but I acknowledge their contributions.

Your elites are in the government, not in the churches. Address the right people.

Since the poor people are not complaining den leave dem alone and face ur government who tax d poor using in several forms, u must be very ignorant to think dat d so called poor don't pay tax.

So Ogbeni face ur elected government and leave the church alone. If d poor decide on their own to keep paying tax, how is dat ur freaking business?
Am just helping ur situation because even if u wail from now till eternity nothing will change. Churches will still be erecting mansions

The elites have failed us , the church that is all perfect shouldn’t plunge people into deception anymore. They are the pioneers of the deceit and false indoctrination that made Africans believe in an almighty coming to save them when they have the hands to fight back.

If the church is the problem that made them unable to fight back, why is it that they didn't use all their traditional powers and animism to fight back when they first met before they were given Christianity?

I wish antichristian can see this instead of Islam producing killers in Nigeria and the whole world.

Mention one Church, school, etc Jesus built in the Bible? Does this mean Living Faith is greater than Jesus in achievement?

It's always you Christians vs Islam all the time.

Our ancestors fought back and won some while they lost some. At least they tried their best because they were not religious so they didn’t have to just leave the fight to GOD unlike now that no one wants to even do anything . We just want to hand them over to God.
