Honestly Nigeria deserves a young and vibrant youth with brains to govern this country. Nigeria deserves something better than Men like Lie Lie Mohammed. Camera had caught him several times sleeping at funtions. Nigeria deserves something better than a 80+ old Buhari who is still claiming 70+. A man that ought to have retired and be spending his retirement benefits with his children in his farm in Daura and drinking Fura de nunu, enjoy his Tuwo shinkafa and he'll have enough time for Aisha in za oza room

Now another old man is seriously warning up to become the next president. He has already started sharing rice in Kano state. Meanwhile he has help produce young vibrant and intelligent men with enviable credentials and visible works that they did and are still doing in their sphere of influence . Why can he support somebody like Prof Osibande Osinbajo and watch him change things for the better, Why not Support somebody like Dr Akinwumi Adesina. The list is endless. Nigeria deserves men whose heads are still correct.

I work up with a running stomach. so I don't even know what I am writing sef

YOUTH dominated by cultists, thieves, yahooboys, rapists, ritualists, violent sessecionists, and what have you? Or the youth dominated by advocates of fraud, ethnic and religious bigotry and every other ill in the society?

It is surely going to be worse

As long as the person has the right mindset to lead the nation.

And also, changing the fortunes of the nation is not just the work of the incoming President. It is a collective effort of the various public institutions (Executive, Judiciary & Legislative).

The religious institutions should also be brave enough to preach God’s truth, instead of preaching hateful and false doctrines. A significant number of Nigerians are religious, if they hear the truth consistently, at least it will improve their mindset.

If the mindset of those running these institutions are selfish and rotten, nothing is going to work!

Even if God comes down to be our President and we don’t change our mindset, nothing will change. Instead He will get frustrated with us like He was with the Israelites in the desert due to their hardness of heart.

These dumb people are only pushing for Yahaya Bello to become president.

They are not considering if yahaya Bello has a good record of governance or not.

Yahaya Bello that had to get hands out from Abuja to offset salaries before he could contest for second term.

What are his achievements as a two-term governor?

Has he boosted Kogi's IGR?

Has education improved under his watch?

Has the healthcare sector improved?

What of transparency? Is Kogi now free from corruption or has corruption reduced?

So, exactly what are the criteria that differentiate this"youth" from the old thieves in Nigeria?

So, exactly how is he going to be better than them?

Sincerely speaking, Nigeria deserve a good leader because this country don suffer too much from the hands of many things like corruption, unemployment, banditry, terrorism's etc
It's not about having a youth, it's about putting the right people at the right position, someone who is a real Nationalist because some youths can be worse in government than Buhari and Tinubu join together.......

For now we don't need a youth (18-45)as president ,but we need a person of age 50-60 bracket .....PYO, moghalus, fashola, duke, and not Sowore,
The present generation of youth will only make things worse ,the need the older political leaders to stabilize the polity before they can be able to make any meaningful impact if given the chance to rule. Besides these older men have their loyalists everywhere from civil service to military and para military and these loyalists can act as saboteurs

I will not say a youth per se but somone within the age bracket of 40 -55 with proven track record in the civil service or business world

We do not need a youth just to mark it as an accomplishment. Buhari was 42 years old in January 1, 1984 when he was misbehaving passing retroactive decrees, which executed the likes of Bartholomew Owoh, Bernard Ogedengbe and Lawal Ojuolape. He sent Nduka Irabor and Tunde Thompson to prison for having a contrary opinion to his. That was a young Buhari doing that then.

Yakubu Gowon was (37 years old in 1971) when he started wasting earnings from Nigeria's oil boom being Santa Claus all over Africa and even to the Caribbean and UAE - that was a youth who failed to lay a good foundation for Nigeria's future and we are all suffering today based on his poor decisions, considering the fact that UAE was poorer and underdeveloped than Nigeria at the time Gowon gave them a grant of GBP10m

Orji Uzor Kalu was a youth (Aged 36) - Lucky Igbinedion (41) James Ibori (40) when they became Governors in 1999 - and they looted their states dry

Obasanjo was a youth in 1976 (aged 38) when he ruled Nigeria after the death of General Murtala Muhammed - I hope you guys still remember the N2.8 Billion (which then was US$3.73 Billion - as US$1 = 75 kobo then) oil money missing missing Fela talked about, It was a 40 year old Obasanjo who was Head of State in 1978 and Col. Muhammadu Buhari who was 36 years old then and serving as Federal Minister of Petroleum and later Group Managing Director of NNPC that supervised the stealing of that money. Those were youths!!!!!!

Dimeji Bankole was 37 when he became the Number 4 man in Nigeria in 2007 - we all know how he corrupt he was

So - yes, we want a younger person with energy to rule Nigeria but someone with a proven track record in Business and / or public service not just any youth or young man for the sake of it

Why not youths?
As long as you have the capacity, character and competence.
All youths in Nigeria can't be bad, there must still be some good ones amongst them....
And why not Sowore?
Because he is a radical?
Yes, we need a radical leader in this country, a man who would not fear to implement policies that would change the Country for good....
I will choose a Sowore, Falz or Aisha above Moghalu, Duke or Fashola anyway, anytime...

Those yesterday young men you mentioned could actually have their faults and downs, but I tell you, those yester year's we're when Nigeria built all the super structures we have till date, the 3rd mainland bridge, Onitsha bridge, airports, sea ports, refinerys, Dams, super highways, Ajeokuta , DSC steel plants, railways, they were built when these young men weree in power.
We can hardly see one super structure these old men have completed since 1999 till date.
Excuses and looting all these years...
A younger President is far better by far even with their flaws...

The data scientist , programmers, IT expert, doctors, business mogul, accountant, Entrepreneur, virtual effect expert, ui/ux designer are better than useless old men.

It seems you've describe the youth in your family. So I've describe the youth in my own community.
When the good ones get to power your family type might rot in jail.
