You're still reveling in ignorance. Who divided the regions and when was it done? Was there a referendum by the indigenous people as to where they would like to belong?

Are you even aware there was a referendum during the first republic that allowed parts of Eastern Nigeria to join Cameroun?

Nigeria once had Southern Nigeria and Northern Nigeria alongside Lagos region. It was later divided into North, East and West. Then Midwest was later added. Before the states were created. Then another 6 regional structure was added.

In all of these, never for once did they conduct a referendum on the indigenes to ask them where they would like to belong.

Igbos have existed indigenously in the areas that are now known as Benue, Delta, Rivers, Edo etc even before Nigeria was created!

For a lasting final decision on regions to be made, a referendum will be conducted and every single Igbo Hamlet whether they're in the SS or NC would be asked to decide if they want to join their brothers or not. You can't wake up as an aboki man or a drunk minority and start telling these Igbos that were forced into other regions that they must go with you while telling the ones in the SE that they must stay on their own.

God bless you. I really don't understand why anybody thinks the Edo kingdom will have to either be in 'Niger Delta Republic' or 'Odua Republic' Edo has everything needed to be a functional nation. Our population is similar to that of Finland and Denmark, we have fertile land, natural resources and human resources. We can do very well on our own.
