For a Bini man to give up falsehood, he must not only be disgraced; he must be terribly disgraced publicly and repeatedly without an atom of mercy.

Truthshots2:
https://youtu.be/IIporKrPsbU

Truthshots2:
[s]The only Yoruba people are the people of oyo Kingdom, Itsikeri are known to be from Benin.[/s]
In other words, both your claim and your video are false and have been debunked by myself time and time again using classical writings:

(1) There is no evidence for your falsehood that only Oyo people are Yorubas. A popular but false claim without any evidence whatsoever.

(2) Your video claims that the name “Yoruba” was first birthed as a group name in the 1800s.

This claim is actually debunked by the classical writings (of Ahmad Baba) from the early 1600s.

(3) The Evidence:
The embedded manuscript below (of Ahmad Baba) lists the name “Yoruba” (in the year 1615) among the names of some other West African ethnic groups.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/12934148_5117c6d550154217817d7c66b5fa0fe6_jpeg_jpeg2a73d5172c14cf7a7da91ff200688e3e

Below is an expert translation of the relevant section of this manuscript.

This translation was prepared by John Hunwick and Fatima Harrak for The Institute of African Studies Rabat, Morocco

www.nairaland.com/attachments/12934147_3336ed29985b499e82c4e140b455b9fa_jpeg_jpeg62ecafabb59c692d4ba471597fdf16bb

(4) We know this manuscript was written by Ahmad Baba in the year 1615 because Baba penned his date as highlighted (in the attached verso) below:

www.nairaland.com/attachments/13082305_6e49d8d129844a578af9272699e1586a_jpeg_jpeg2d5891d724a6428e2c0f4e6898bd60cc

The highlight here literally shows the wording “(the year) one thousand and twenty four (of the Hijrah)”.

When converted from this Hijri “AH” calendar into our Gregorian “AD” calendar; the year 1024 AH falls into the year 1615 AD

The formula “D = 0.9692*H + 622” proves practically useful for this conversion.

(5) In sum, your falsehood turns out to be a pain borne out of your frustration of being a minority.

Yes, the minority complex syndrome is a real thing. But you have a lifetime to deal with that.

Cheers!

The thing which you guys will notice is that Yoruba lie as second nature. It is what they learn right from birth, how to lie and lie and lie.
They congratulate each other on the "sophistication" of their lie...

[s]For argument sake let's agree that only Oronmiyan mother is Yoruba. And leave the Odùduwà part for other time. Then Eweka too has Yoruba blood then thru his father Oranmiyan. Let call those from Eweka with Yoruba blood via their ancestral mother Binis and the pure Edo people as Edos.

And since only those Binis can become Oba, then the Bini monarchy is part Yoruba then.

And if those are the same people that instituted Warri throne, it also is part Yoruba. I hope u get my point/s]

It is an unhidden fact that Itsekiri is a Yoruba sub-group.

Says who? shocked Well, says the Itsekiris themselves. smiley

(1) Quoting from the eyewitness account of Captain H. L. Gallwey’s “Journeys in the Benin Country”:

Let me now refer briefly to the tribes that people this part of the world. First we come to the Jakris, who are connected in race and language with the Yoruba people, extending from the Mahin country on the west to the Forcados on the East, and inland about as far as Sapele.

~ H. L. Gallwey, “Journeys in the Benin Country, West Africa,” The Geographical Journal, Vol. 1, No. 2 (Feb., 1893), p.127.

(2) Quoting from H. Ling Roth’s (1903) report from eyewitnesses of the late 1800s:

In this respect, however, the officials agree with the tradition of the people at Warri, the Jekries, who claim to come from the west.

~ H. Ling Roth, Great Benin: Its Customs, Arts and Horrors, (1903), pp.8-9.

In sum, the minority children of insecurity and inferiority complex (aka the Binis) should rest and seek other life aspirations.

Cheers! kiss

You see you guys always skip the main points. I never said anything about Oronmiyan being the first Oba or not. I said he left in anger because he couldn't rule. He was practically powerless. The Edions who brought him from Ife, didn't give him power. Power was with the Ogiamen.

You Yoruba have painted a history in your head like Oronmiyan came in a war horse with his army and invaded benin and conquered it. Then he put his son to rule over Benin... Oronmiyan was brought to Benin by the Edions. He could not even defeat the Ogiamen. He left in anger.... The people he met didn't even understand him. So this whole idea of him being conqueror in Benjn and Benin people being Yoruba... I don't know where those lies come from

There was no oromiyan in benin... Abeg

You don't even know the different between bini and Edo. Now I see why you're confusing yourself.....lol

A Benin man like you would say doesn't call himself Benin but he calls himself Edo. The title of the Oba of Benin is Omo N'oba Nedo....

Now I get your point.
The reason I was stressing that sliver of point, is that only the descendants of Oranmiyan can become Oba of Benin.
Even Odùduwà met autonomous groups in Ile Ife but we are now all call Yorubas and not Ọmọ Odùduwà and Ọmọ Obatala.

But was it like that before Oranmiyan from Ilé Ife arrived? Were they ever called Binis?
Was the king title ever Ọmọ Noba?
Wasn't it Ogiso?

Itsekiri gave the word ile binu to the Portuguese tp decribe their overlord the edo people, and the Portuguese called it benin instead of ile binu

Yea the title of Benin monarch has always been omo no oba Nedo and not omo noba nebinu, the title oba got into yoruba lexicon through benin military expansion into yoruba territory in acient times

Oromiyan never came to benin, he never even existed as a human being, oromiyan is an idol of the OYo people and nor even ife....

Another load of falsehood from my insecure Benin slave — not even an atom of ‘evidence’ to ‘substantiate’ his fiction.

Anyways, Benin borrowed [was actually given] the word “Oba” from Yorubaland.

Refer to the link below for a devastating exposition on this.

It's not Warri Kingdom.
The Olu of Warri as he is popularly called rules only the Itsekiri tribe and has no rulership over the Urhobos and Ijaws of Warri. The Urhobo and Ijaw speaking part of Warri has their own Kings.

Na wa for you oo...You never heard of Ring Theory before and you called yourself an 'initiate'?

After Set Theory na Ring Theory..

After Ring na Group...After Group na Cathegory....in that order..

These are undergraduate maths.

Before you go reach advanced stages of manifolds in Topology..

So, which advanced mathematics are you talking about...?

I read what you wrote way too fast, you actually can't study rings before studying groups because the definition of rings uses the notion of group: (K,+,*,0,1) is a ring if k is a set and (k,+,0) is a group and...

Why were you trying to pretend you know something about mathematics ? You know absolutely nothing. Why is it that you yorubas just lie on absolutely everything ?

Also category theory is not for undergraduates, it is studied in final year of masters degree and not even with its complete rigour. Only logicians really study it through set theory or class theory.

Your view of mathematics is really uneducated. Category theory is way more abstract than topology, actually category theory is an abstraction of algebraic topology.

Why do people like you just like to talk and talk and talk ? Most people with masters in pure mathematics don't know much about category theory. Many mathematicians don't know that much about category theory. It is a very abstract field of mathematics.

The theories mentionned are theories which I specialise in, I wrote books on those fields.

Emancipate yourself from the dungeon and shackles of inferiority complex.
