President Muhammadu Buhari was praised by the people of Adamawa state over the many Anchor borrowers projects introduced in the country through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The praise of Buhari began at the Palace of the Royal Father of Demsa, Hama Bata, Alhamdu Teneke when a delegation led by the state coordinator of Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) Special Projects, Mr. Wafarininyi Theman Dalatu paid him a condolence visit over the death of an illustrious Son and three of his close relations.


The royal father was elated and described the visit as an encouragement where he praised the wisdom of Buhari for introducing anchor borrowers project under RIFAN.

He thanked the President by saying that the scheme is yielding positive results as farmers in his domain are testifying the good work the State coordinator is doing to help Youths in Adamawa.

He however advised that since is a program for medium and small farmers they should fashion out ways on the early provision of farm commodities and all inputs be made available to farmers before any farming season calendar.

He assured the coordinator of a sustained partnership for the success of the project and a robust farming exercise that all farmers will benefit from.

While consoling him, Theman extolled the Royal Father a rudder of leadership who believe in God's will and understand that He gives and takes life at will as the deceased will find rest on God's bosom.

He recalled that 1000 youths in his area are already Rice farmers empowered by RIFAN and is looking for others ways that many more each with hectares of farmland will benefit from the special project.

Dalatu said Demsa is one of the arable local governments with vast land for farmers that the youths should be encouraged to farm and they are ready to allow them access the credit facilities available.

He also said President Muhammadu Buhari's administration is after poverty eradication with the vision of farming what we eat, and eat what we farm without importing any.

According to him the introduction of the RIFAN project by President Buhari is yielding good results as Many Youths are embracing it by going into farmings.

He said one of the successes of the project encouraged Youths in his Kingdom comprising of Numan federation to give him an award to appreciate Buhari over the economy great awakening is doing in the country's agriculture sector.

"Peace in the world is needed but your role as a Man of peace is making your land peaceful and habitual to all, farmers and herders are living in peace

"World over youths are the back born of any country's economy drive. What we are doing has encouraged the youth in your Land to give us an award." He said

as Service Provider of the RIFAN special project,Adamawa state All Progressives Congress, (APC) party officials, under the leadership of Ibrahim Bilal respectively spoke that joblessness is what begat insecurity using the idle mind of the youths.

For the Leadership Award to Dalatu held at Mope Hotel, Numan by the Federation of Numan Youths was a colorful event with traditional rulers,politicians, close relations of the awardee and traditional dancers to entertain the guests.

On his earlier submission before the award presentation, APC Chairman, Ibrahim Bilal reminded the Youths that RIFAN is a special project taken a new good turn for the people to be empowered, government is trying to provide work for them, and the only way to make Theman happy is to pay back the collected loan in good time.

The award ceremony was culminated with Theman been dressed in Bachama attire and a sword was handed to him symbolizing him as a warrior and a defender of youth in fighting poverty through the RIFAN project.

While presenting the award, the citation of Theman waw read that CBN/RIFAN Anchors Borrowers' special project has ushered in a new era of impartial distribution of farm inputs to Rice farmers all across Adamawa state to boost Rice production and agricultural value chain generally.
