A Christian Youth group in Adamawa, the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) is touring the twenty-one local government areas with the sole aim of creating awareness to the Youths in the state on modern farming.

The association under the leadership of Rev. Gabriel L. Shall has on Monday visited the Youths of Fofure Local Government in continuation of the awareness started in Demsa last week on how to access the many opportunities introduced by President Muhammadu Buhari on Agriculture.

Shall reveal that the group is in partnership with RIFAN and Green Eagles enlightening the Youth the need to go back to Agriculture, especially the Rice Farming system that is generating huge revenue for the country.

The Youths who gathered in their numbers in Fofure were charged to maximize the opportunities made available by Adamawa RIFAN to grow enough agricultural products for a better and prosperous Nigeria.

While addressing the Youth, Gabriel said "the development of this country lays in the hand of the youth. Everyone should please think about what can I offer for the betterment of my country, not always put pressure on Government for employment.

Shall continue to say that Adamawa Youths should also be a source of encouragement to RIFAN, as not to make them regret the opportunity they gave them to engage in farming activities as individuals, groups, or as a community.

A representative of Green Eagle Nigerian Ltd who is an Agronomist, Prof. Aminu Ali advised that farming together as a community is the best way of farming now in a developed country and this makes every farmer to be entitled to one hectare of land to managed.

According to him if it properly manages the hectare a harvest of 70 to 80bags per hectares and the model is the ffirst started in Adamawa state with intentions of strengthening the Agriculture sector, more especially Rice farming.

Being elated he commute ended the Adamawa Youth CAN and United Adamawa Youth Forum in their collaborative agreement for the overall progress of all the Youths in the state.

He assured that Green Eagles will procure a demonstration farm that will serve as an example to farmers.

Also the State Coordinator of United Adamawa an example, Mr. Yakubu Umar at the Fofure meeting charge the d the entire Youths to appreciate. ate the present-day RIFAN Officials for coming out with capacity-building programs that recognize the importance of youth capacity-building.programsFatima recognizes the Adamawa Green Eagle rumination-building by telling them that the building of Nigeria depends on individuals taking his or their noble responsibility.

"Everyone should everyone his/her quarter, Federal Government, RIFANEveryone and Green Eagles have done their own, it remains you people to contribute your own by maximizing the opportunity being free, people, label for you to do what is being expected of you to do," Fatima said

In his submission, the Youth CAN Coordinator of Fufore, Mr. Timothy Neberth appreciated the effort of RIFAN, Green eagle, and the. State Youth CAN Chairman for coming up with a wonderful thought-provoking program like this.
