Process and procedure is the orderliness that makes organizations function very effectively and efficiently. Without it, everything will end up in chaos. It also makes it very easy for organizations to scale up and expand with little or no friction at all.

Unfortunately, this is always at the expense of the employee who does not want to move out of their comfort zone and add more value to themselves. That is, the processes and systems you maintained for years are only peculiar to that company. Everything has been systematized so that you feel very comfortable.

In fact, the system and procedure permit you to live your dream life, especially the use of fast automobiles and other benefits.

The zeal to grow yourself will no longer be there, after all, you are well paid. Until change knocks that your door then you will now know you are not employable in the market again or your skillset is obsolete to even start your own business.

So, you need to go and train yourself again, that is if you can swallow your pride. Especially if you are in your 40's upward. I believe you know what I mean.

Often times, it is not the management's fault, it is just the reality on ground that the process needs to be adjusted to suit the current reality. Just like the current pandemic

Like Jack Welch will say, "change before you have to". Do you want to still remain in your comfort zone or you want to move out? The choice is absolutely yours to prioritize and make.
