The killing of ESN Commander in the heart of the operational base of ESN in Imo has not only exposed the tactical weakness of ESN Operatives but also the tactical daftness of Nnamdi Kanu as a leader.

The theatre of ESN which is supposed to be impenetrable given how sensitive as the operational and tactical base of the zone, was torn down by Nigeria security forces and the Commander, Ikonso shot down to his boxer with his charmed vest hanging helplessly around his neck.
If your most fortified camp could be broken down fairly easily, then you are Finished!

The Nigerian security are henceforth in possession of some sensitive and substantial details of ESN. Raids including gadgets and sensitive materials linkng ESN networking and other top commanders & staffs and operational information would have been obtained. There's no way a top commander, much less a deputy to Kanu wouldn't have some top secret details in his possession. Everything is now pretty much in the hands of Nigeria Army.

The reason why Nigeria security forces have been having tougher times defeating Bokoharam, Bandits & fulani herdmen is because their operational camps have never been penetrated by the security agencies. What we do witness are occassional random arrests of terrorists & bandits with little or nothing to show.

Going into a terrorist camp is a fight to finish as the case of Idris Deby paying the ultimate price. ESN do not have what it takes to defend its most fortified territory. Although, they could throw back some few punches but would later buck even before the fight began.

A closer look at the arms and ammunition recovered from Ikonso's camp shows the unpreparedness and scantily stocked the so called ESN, other than an empty barrel. With those little stock of arms, they hardly could go a 6 hour shooting spree with the the security agencies. Compare with the fully armed bandits hobnobbing with Gumi, whose ammunition were displayed with intent. Notwithstanding, the full gallery of their arms & ammunition. They have easy access from Libya, Chad, Mali, Niger through the border.

What access do ESN has? the access to attack random road blocks police officers, get them killed and disposses them of their weapons, at most an organized attacks on police stations where large cache of arms were stolen for more attacks. They are landlocked, they are holed up without the privilege of access like the North, the West or their close neighbors, SS. Little wonder, Nnamdi Kanu was so particular about dismantling all road blocks in the South East so that as much arms would come in so easily and unfettered.

With the Nigerian Army in possession of what would further nail IPOB/ESN in the international community, I expect that British Government and her EU allies will revoke the asylum consideration and may likely align with the Federal Government's proscription of IPOB in the wake of overwhelming criminal evidences linking IPOB activities to terrorism less than 24hours to an attack on a Governor's house. While his house was set ablaze, cars burnt, more unfortunately, two of his security aides were killed.

The perpetrators could not be far fetched from the statement by another South East Governor, Ikpeazu, who stated that Nnamdi Kanu had declared death sentence on All the Governors in the South East.

Nnamdi Kanu has been having a handshake across the Ambazonia region of Southern Cameroon from whence he has been getting handouts on how to carry out series of organized violent attacks on Government institutions. Being a man with much words and very little wisdom, he has no political support which creates a wide gulf from his Ambazonia counterpart, who has the support of the socio-political class.
Nnamdi Kanu would be rat out from his hole because of his vile vituperations, wild imaginations, and tactless misgivings.

If his foot soldiers could penetrate a Governors house, I think Kanu could have made the most of it by deploying intellectual sagacity rather than being a blood thirsty & destructive beast. The absence and otherwise lack of a think-tank among Ipob's hierarchy complements Kanu and his goons as a money hungry cult.

Following this ugly development, it's high time Ohaneze Ndigbo and Elders crawled out with their red caps and walking sticks to make a loud plea to tie down their recalcitrant ipob kids to a chain and passionately disown Kanu with their full chest, otherwise the righteous dwellers might suffer from the impending consequences.

Just shut up already. I guess the killing of President Idriss Déby also exposed the tactical weakness and daftness of the Chadian Military that has hitherto effectively kept seasoned terrorists like the ones your puppet masters are fraternizing with in check.

There will always be casualties in any armed conflict. How many of our young men in the army and police get iced by fulani terrorists alias bandits and their Boko Haram colleagues on a daily basis?.

Does that also expose the tactical weakness and daftness of your Military?.

What you don't understand is unlike bandits, fulaniherdsmen and bokoharam your so called ESN is not cooked in politics.
Boko haram, bandits, kidnapping and herdsmen rampages are thriving becos its all politics, insurgence is another convenient route for govt to cash out on her people, you see boko haram carrying ammunitions nigeria army lack thats is what politics money can do. ESN can't stand cos it lacks the structure & appropriate discreet support.

I agree with you op.ESN is territorial unlike the northern bandits that can easily flee to neighbouring countries with this the Nigerian army can easily ambush ESN.

Nnamdi & his team need to play with a full deck else he will be at the losing end and IPOB defeated

War is strategic and you can fight a war without playing good politics. If I were Nnamdi Kanu, I will start playing regional politics to make sure that all members of senate and house of rep from southeast are IPOB members. With that, we already had a political advantage to push for secession. Enough informants and political will.

Don't be surprised that the escalation will not take place in imo but another state.
violence can't resolve this issue but rather ,it will worsen it .The federal government has placed ESN in such a position that the can't but respond with force-hence this circle of violence continues. And the SE isn't the NE that the country can afford to boil over.
Any military exchange in the SE will cause very adverse effects all over the country

The only adverse effects is been refugees in SW, which is happening already, we are witnessing influx of Igbos running to their brethren in all the SW states, enough of chest beating, guerilla warfare can not work in tiny alaigbo, the place will b worst off,Nk is doing too much damage to intellectual Igbos.

Or , to add to your suggestion, IPOB symphatisers get into the NA from the SOuth east, and at the same time, get genuine 'restructuring' supporters from the SW and middle belt in, they ally together, then begin the gradual process of amending the constituion to get secession in

The problem is, Nnamdi Kanu, like most Nigerians, is very impatient. And the democratic route to secession takes tiiiime. (Scotland's 2014 referendum....it took them over 50 years to get the law that gave backing to the referendum self. But hey at least, Scotalnd was not set on fire by rebels in the process.)

The problem you Yorubas have is, you find it difficult to believe Igbo people's courage and brave Ness. Because you Yorubas are too cowardly to challenge your enemy or oppressor, you therefore find it difficult to believe that Igbos can be this fearless.

It is cowardness that's making Yoruba to bow to Hausa-Fulanis and even form fake alliance with them. Deep in your hearts you hate Hausa-Fulanis more than you hate Igbos but cowardness can't let you challenge them. We understand

Igbos don't bark in vain.

IPOB use to wave only flags and songs while Nigerian soldiers and Police murdered them mercilessly unarmed. We kept telling you that Nigerian government is about to create a monster, allow these guys protest in peace, u laughed about it, shared pictures of humiliated unarmed IPOB members killed during protests.

We warned you guys that this IPOB will be deadly if you push them to the walls and they pickup arms, you cowards called it online chest beating.

Just last year, IPOB launched ESN, videos were shared, you cowards laughed about it and called it Igbo chest beating that nothing like ESN.

ESN went on rampage dealing with Fulani herdsmen terrorists occupying Igbo forests, you saw videos and said it's all lies that its Igbo chest beating.

Army and Police thought it's the usual game they play with IPOB and confronted them at Orlu and many soldiers fell, many ran. They ran back to Obinze army barracks and brought reinforcement and got dealt with that they lost so many soldiers and they invited airforce to help them.

Then you cowards started believing that ESN is real small and gradually UGM started dealing with Police and Soldiers at all checkpoints and even invading their fortified barracks to chase them out, you guys then realized it's beyond online chestbeating.

Now a combined operation of Army, DSS, IRT/Police couldn't penetrate these guys for weeks or months now, they had to go unaware to kill one of their commanders and in the process they lost top military and Police officers and a coward like you is still calling it online chestbeating.

No wahala, continue until bombs and jets start flying over your roof. Keep on mocking, time will tell

One thing I noticed about Ipob members they have been radicalized by Kanu’s propaganda there is noting you can tell this walking dead zombies that will make any difference, Kanu has no formal military training unlike boko boys who went to Libya to go receive military and tactical gorilla warfare training, our Ipob zombies brother after eating garri and egusi soup they learn to pull a trigger of an Ak47 and that’s all, look let me sound a word of Advice, Kanu is sending your illiterate brothers to go and die like a coward while he keeps the impression of a war for freedom going on, and your half educated brother abroad will keep filling his account with donations for an imaginary war, you can’t win this useless fight you only want to destroy the little progress your reluctant and corrupt governors has manage to achieve, ask boko haram who has both local and foreign flights how many men they have lost, they have the financial backing both local and foreign governments supporting them yet they die like cockroaches

Yes, because the alternantive is war, war and war.

Let's take the UK as an example.

Scotland nationalists and Northern Irish nationalists had a goal in 1920....Scotland wanted independence, Northern Ireland wanted to rejoin Ireland.

Both of them formed parties to that regard.

The Scottish nationalists won seats in the UK parliament. Began the work of getting laws to allow them have a referendum on independence. They spent over 50 years bargaining, and arguing...and by 2010, they got the law that gave them the 2014 refrendeum..which they lost...but they have a second chance.

The Irish nationalists...Sinnfein...have refused to take their seats in parilament. In the 1960's, they took up arms against the British. The BIRTISN RESPONDED in kind...with soldiers and loyalist auxilliaries. And many people needlessly died, till peace was restrored...and then back to their strong head. Today, NI is no closer to being reunited with Ireland.

The Welsh too started with terror groups in the 1960's...the British state responded ferociously. They went the demcratic route...and got a seprate assembly, government funding for the Welsh lingo and media, and more autonomy...though demcoracy.

Let me tell you...the UK demcratic system can be and is very very unfair. But if you work within the system, you can get what you want.

You are calling the Nigerian poltical system unfair. You are right...but you think that warfare will get you what you want? You think you are doing those guys in Abuja? Think again.

Better take part in the Nigerian poltical system to get secession. It may take you 50 years, it may take you 100 years, but no one is going to die needlessly

Lion are you saying that Chad military the delt a big blow on Boko Haram terrorists are weak because the commander of the army and President of Chad was killed ? Did America finished the Taliban because most of their senior commanders was killed ? America is pulling its troops out of Afghanistan having fought and got tired of fighting. I'm in America and proud to say I make my monthly contributions to ESN on time. The last time Mazi Kanu came here we raised over 400.000 dollars withing two weeks. IPOB is a multi million dollars organization if you don't know, and we have a enough resources and manpower to match our enemies. The ammunition we used are locally made by men trained in Israel. There are many things you don't know about IPOB. A lots of Igbo billionaires who a fed up with Nigeria are secretly financing IPOB activities. Now that the get of hell is widely open, stay tuned with the news...
