Gumi is right that people like Pantami are the kind of people needed in government because truly truly Islamic countries need mostly muslim extremist in power to progress as a country, fair democracy isn't meant for them, it is the same way sharia is needed also in an islamic republic just like the case of U.A.E, Saudi and likes, which is one of the reason for the peace, stability and growth in those countries. Now the problem is the so called Southern interest. While the south believes in the western world-like democracy which involves innovative technocrats in the helm of affairs, that is like waging war against the North cuz such style was never made for them while their own islamic rulership ideology is rather a curse and big disgrace to the secular and freedom oriented South. So at the end every zone will keep doing what's best for themselves while Nigeria keep going in circle.

And Nigeria is indivisible today not because the other half are loved cuz they are muslims or not but because of the land and the resources in it. All these should belong to the caliphate so that their people can have more stretch. If you doubt me, why then is it easy for them to destroy people they want to be with forever and why is it that if any of them successfuly defeat any aborigine in their land in some jihad-like battle, the caliphate will never condemn the attrocity and ask the jihadist to return others property but rather absorb it in the caliphate? "Nigeria unity is non negotiable" grin "Nigeria is indivisible" lori iro. Their southern upholders should continue in their foolery.

Just say North and South are different and incompatible and should separate to pursue their chosen ways of life.

Correct . Everything starts with weakening the over-powerful centre and strengthening the autonomy of States and regions.

That concept is in the hands of each of us and begins with electing the right leaders as Governors, Senators etal and then making the right demand on them.

For example, I like what Sanwo Olu and Fayemi are doing in agriculture, even if it is responsive rather than proactive, as their moves will go a long way to addressing SW dependence on the North for food crop and livestock.

When we get leadership right they will then get socio-economic direction right and everything naturally sorts itself out. The Country will begin to break along socio-economic lines and without bloodshed.

If the South does not need goods, food and services from the North then the region will be forced to trade goods , food and services with Chad, Niger, Mali etal resulting in less Northerners having any business down South whether for grazing Cattle, driving tomatoes or Yam trucks, security guard work, okada driving, labouring or selling in Southern markets.

If Governors in the South eschew corruption, the States can have more transport options that can, in the next 5 to 10 years, totally eradicate the need for Okada vehicles, and their Northern drivers, in the South.

Governors in the South should not be afraid to broach the topic of family planning either so prosperity can be underpinned for Southern Nigeria with the message of "only have kids you can raise properly".

Literally thousands of policies southern leaders can initiate to gradually drive down the presence of vagrant and undesirable people who troop in to now leave Southerners despairing . We need to work smarter not harder or more bloodily.

We can work with vision and purpose to free ourselves, without bloodshed, and seperate socio-economically first so that physical separation then becomes natural and inevitable. Everyone has to key into the concept though and that will be difficult with the average Nigerian generally lacking vision, discipline and selflessness.

Gumi is right for northern nigeria but wrong for southerners. My headline is just a subtle way of saying you two are not the same and should go each others way.
