How does NIN solve the problem of insecurity in Nigeria despite the fact that there's porous borders, poor or no surveillance, no database of citizens in the country?

I will say a capital NO, let them come render their assistance and go. All US oversea commands be it USPACIFIC COMMAND, USCENTCOM, etc all have the full compliment of all the Armed Services plus their Intelligence community. This implies that US can mobilize from here to fight any of their enemies in Africa automatically making their enemies our enemies even when they are not our real enemies. Also know that no country does anything wholly to benefit another country without their own greater interest.
Nigeria will be strategically disadvantaged if they setup their command. I wrote my undergraduate research in this area and know that there are many other factors that come in here.

Do you know how long it takes to get your NIN?
Do you know you have to pay to get your NIN in some cases?
Do you know your card won't still be ready after 6yrs (I'm a case point)?
Do you know people (whose majority are poor) have to travel several kilometers to get the NIN?

Tell the government to make life a little bit easy for the citizens; then watch how they'll comply speedily with directives!
