FASTING PLEASING TO GOD!

In times past faithful servants of God often afflict themselves with hunger and put on sackclothes to prove to God that they're ready to humble themselves before Him. 2Samuel 12:16

REASON
In most cases it's after discovering some wrongdoings on their part and in a way to seek God's face (mercy) people of ancient times go on fasting with sackclothes as a sign of heartfelt repentance. As recorded in the Bible book of Jonah we found out that God turned away His anger against that Pagan nation after their repentant attitude. Jonah 3:7-10

HYPOCRITICAL FASTING
As times goes on most people began using this practice as a means of bribing God after deliberate wrongdoings, they will intentionally do what is wrong afterwards go on hunger strike to bribe God. So God declared through Isaiah the prophet that Israelites should stop the stupidity rather they should make the doing of what is right their FASTING. In what sense?
If someone is pressured to do evil which might bring him some material gain let him refrain from such wrongdoing as take it upon himself as a fasting since he will loose such dishonest gain.
A superior in our place of work may wish to date us while both of us are legally married (adultery) turning down such offer may lead to trouble as the superior may sack us or delay our promotion, God is telling us to take such loss as FASTING.
A fellow believer might be hardworking but due to the economic situation he's not able to meet up with necessary things in life like food, clothing and shelter, any of these things we offer him will mean shortage since he's not part of our budget so God is saying we should take such shortage as a FASTING. Isaiah 58:1-10

WHAT JESUS MEANT
When Jesus walked the earth people have turned fasting into some kind of weekly rituals and most religionsts also join in the practice. But they were all disappointed when God's son didn't join in such practices {Mark 2:18; Luke 5:33, 18:12} they were surprised that Christ never followed their self-imposed righteousness rather God's son maintained the righteousness of God! Romans 10:2-4
So what does Jesus had in mind when he talked about FASTING?
Well based on what God inspired Isaiah to tell the people Jesus now teaches his own followers that whenever they're facing hardship or persecution due to their faith in doing what is right they shouldn't squeeze their faces like mourners as such will make observers notice that they're undergoing some kind of punishment for righteousness rather they should dress well and go on with joy because God in heaven is pleased with them even when humans are trying to persecute them for righteousness sake! Matthew 6:16-18
Note that Jesus never instituted fasting with abstinence from food rather he laid emphasis on doing what is right always even though it may not result in instant reward! Matthew 6:19-21

Most religionsts today are still practicing the hypocritical ritual fasting unknowingly but the Yahoo big boys Pastors are wickedly killing poor people going to them for help. How?
When they notice a rich church member they will pray and lie to him that they will fast in his behalf but in the case of the poor ones instead of frankly telling the poor churchgoer that his or her presence in not appreciated they will inflict pain on those poor and gullible ones by asking them to carry on fasting for many days!
