I wonder o, that guy's case no be here o, he is always on the trend table for every bad reason. His name is now synonymous with bad luck. I think it started during EndSARS protest when he labelled Nigerian youth children, some things don't go down well with people in this country. He has earned the bad reputation for himself and I don't think it can be changed any time soon. How many people can he sue, his critics are running into thousands, it has become a thing of fun on Twitter. I think the mistake he made was that he got himself on the wrong side of controversy by criticizing the youth at the time that people are so fed up with what is going on in the country with police brutality and killing of protesters. Many people criticize EndSARS protesters especially northerners, but Desmond Elliott's own case was different because he was formerly seen as an ardent critic of government as a nollywood star. So why are you now supporting the same government because you are in it at the time people are protesting to save their lives in the hands of notorious police unit like SARS? The fact is, Desmond Elliott does not look like a typical Nigerian politician that will get into controversy and people will forgive him for doing so, he is more like a new brand of politicians that people are expecting to be a little different, getting into EndSARS controversy is a wrong move by him, at least if you cannot change the system that you find yourself, you should just keep mum.

Fortunately actually.

The "hate" is silly and baseless. Nigerians want to cruise and joke about with very serious issues especially people on social media.

Sometimes you read things and you wonder how educated people reason like that

What the bleep are you saying? People are calling someone out and telling him the truth and you label that hating. No wonder your country is a shithole.

Do you even know the job of a legislator? Because even building toilets is a whole lot.

His job is to got to the house and talk not capital project.

But he goes Home with #39Million every Month, in the name of "Constituency Project"?
Did anyone force Legislators to insist they want to be emergency "Executive Contractors", in the name of Corruption?

Honestly, something is wrong with the 'mind and sense' of Nigerians of today, especially the 'Yoots'.

The do not receive constituency allowance. It never goes into their account, the ministry of works pays it to the contractors.

Their job is to suggest projects and contractors. Even the awarding of such contracts is dependent on the approval of the ministry

Haaaa!
I am sure you know that they take home #36-39Million, depending on their ranking, because the head of RAMFAC said it on TV and one of them also had a slip of tongue and mentioned it just two weeks ago on ChannelsTV.

Now, please tell me what you think such Sum of Monthly payment is for.
Not to mention t hat these Legislators get paid #1,240,000 every Month, just to buy Newspapers,Haaba!

Nigeria will never be good, if you people keep romancing evil like this, it will only get more brutish as more people become more desperate to also join the league of "Looters" in Govt or Criminals out of Govt

BTW: If your assertion is true, then Nigeria should have become like America or even S/Africa, with Constituency Infrastructures all over the place, tarred street roads and pipe borne water in every nook and crany

Are you being deliberately d*mb?

I just told you that the OP's comment was based on a popular JOKE about Desmond Elliot on Twitter. Yet you are asking him to PROVE a joke?
Have you ever heard of the term Hyperbole? You are asking him to demonstrate how a hyperbolic joke is factually correct? Are you a 4 year old kid?

I give up. Jeez! such a time-waster.

Still haven't answered d questions:

U really haven't said anything. How is "everything that happens in this world blamed on Desmond Elliott"? When did that happen?

APC use the word "hate" a lot. Meanwhile, their era is the first time anti people policy decisions spiraled into genocidal proportions. They hate a large proportion of the Nigerian populace, to the extent of border blockades, food embargoes, arms control for innocent people being killed, kidnapped and terrorized, while the culprits bear arms with bravado, even to the point of being released when caught red handed.
MEANWHILE, AS SOON AS THERE IS CRITICISM, THEY BRING OUT THE WORD "HATE."
GOD WILL HAVE THE FINAL WORD.

Please how will God have the final word when many of his critics don’t have PVCs, and are not enlightening everyone about governance
What works is there for God to bless, so as to have the final word

Oga did the PVC ever work to determine the winner of any election?
Have things deteriorated to the point where you reckon God is powerless to effect a relief for suffering Nigerians?

Its still their business, I remembered supervising a constituency project for a contractor, but he got the contract through the conival help of the honorable member. they've a lot staked in it sir. in fact they sell it to the lowest responsive. this is Nigeria.

As for Desmond Iscariot, he can still redeem his image. A one storey block of 5 classroom up and down shouldn't cost up to 6m, in the absence of corrupt practices, so let him select 5 schools in Surulere, and carry out such project. Atleast, his image will be redeemed gradually.
forget it. Desmond's image is gone, almost irredeemable. At this trend rate, he will get pelted in public soon.

Shame! Unbecoming of moderator Mynd44

Imagine what he'll be capable of if in a real position in Nigeria. Think of Lai Muhammed, Garba shehu, Femi Adesina and the cronies around the most inept retired general.

You're just going in circles, contradicting yourself over and over again. Stop trying to justify mediocrity. We need this country to develop not decay in archaic useless projects. Stop being bias with your statements and try to be factual. It's obvious you'd do worse IF you get to the same position someday. This is sad.
