The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has lost one of his children.
Dare, a pastor at an RCCG branch in Eket, Akwa Ibom state, was found dead in his bedroom on Wednesday.

According to information released to thenewkokoro, Dare, 42, had officiated a service the night before and had asked not to be disturbed when he arrived home.
His wife, Temiloluwa Adeboye, discovered him dead the next morning.
“He said he wanted to rest after attending a program he officiated yesterday. He stated that he did not want to be disturbed,” according to the source.

“His wife was concerned about how long he had been sleeping and attempted to rouse him. When he didn’t wake up, she made a noise to alert everyone.”
Another resident of the Redemption Camp said the environment is calm, but cars and security personnel have been trooping in and out of the general overseer’s house.
The RCCG’s head of media and public relations, Olaitan Olubiyi, could not be reached for comment.
The deceased was Region (Youth) 35’s assistant pastor in charge of the Youths.
The deceased’s brother, Leke Adeboye, has also posted about his brother’s death on his Facebook page. He posted a screenshot of a Bible verse — Isaiah 57:1 — that borders on bereavement.

Dare’s father referred to him as “our first miracle child” when he turned 42 in 2020.
“In JESUS’ name, we pray that God will keep his miraculous working power in your life and that all those who need a miracle today will use you as a point of contact for their own. “(Amen) love from Dad, Mom, and the entire Adeboye dynasty,” he captioned a video of himself praying for Dare.
