Have you ever been frustrated by the nonchalant attitudes at civil offices?
I was at a particular NOUN branch today and the experience is horrible.
Workers did not start coming until past 9am, work did not start until 11am and these people will tell you they have stopped attending to people by 3pm. The same people will travel abroad and will accept humiliating jobs for peanuts and be loyal to it. This same people will be the first set of people to decry minimum wage default. I think the government is not doing enough. They should send spies to their parastatals to report how work is going and make scapegoats. Nigeria needs a overhauling.
What's your experience?

Nigerian civil service work is something else.

I'm sure after coming late,a lot of those staff will bring their phones/laptops and start watching numerous movies(during office hours when they should be working).

Have you seen local government workers? Theirs is worse!!

And they always get paid every month for doing nothing.the private sector has more hardworking staff than government work jare.

Fuel is almost 170 per liter
Bag of rice is @least 25000
House rent has skyrocketed
School fees are high up in the sky
No car loans, no promotion arrears, promotion is by lobbying, some are 10 years on a level without promotion.
And you pay graduates 100k a month and the govt wants a civil service that rivals the best country workforce, how will it happen?

You have to pity some of them, they have no where else to go, that's why they are still coming self.

Their morale is dead! Just patiently do whatever you want to do, and leave.
