While it has always been God's desire to fellowship with His children, it is also important to realise that God wants to be valued and treasured above everyone and everything else. He is a Jealous God.

He used to come down to fellowship with Adam. But after the fall, Adam was banished out of God's presence. Man then had to pay a price to get God's attention. He approached God's presence with great care and fear. He had lost his glorious access into God's presence.

Thank God for the sacrifice of Jesus by which access has been restored so we are able to come boldly into God's very presence through a new and living way - the blood of Jesus.
He therefore hides himself so that only those who mean business can find Him.
It is said that in agronomy, the farther water is from the surface of the soil, the deeper the roots of the tree go in order to connect with the water it so desperately need to thrive. God wants us to seek and pursue His presence

1. Hunger for His presence
Read Psalm 63:1-2

2. Worship
Read 2 Chronicles 5:13-14

3. The Word
Words create atmospheres. Words can produce excitement or grieve. They attract or repel. The right words create a conducive atmosphere of love and acceptance.
When you constantly speak the word of God, you will create an atmosphere that attracts the presence of God. Luke 5:17

4. Obedience
When you walk in obedience to God's instructions, the presence of God will be evidence in your life. Genesis 26:2-3
A lot of people you walk in the enemy's hand by walking in disregard or disobedience to God's word and God's instruction to them.
God has zero tolerance for rebellion and will withdraw from you once you're walking in disobedience. Hosea 5:15
