No, he is not. Granting someone bail doesn't mean he's not guilty of the crime. Keep your emotions in check, folks like you will be the first to shout in "saner climes" well, that's what is obtainable there.
The man has a right to bail, no matter how compelling the evidence is. The police station is not a court of law.

It baffles me how someone will defend a rapists with full knowledge of the crime the perpetrator has committed.

Panti police station should do us favour. As soon as he shows up for the protest, he should be arrested. His a rape apologist.

This comment of yours was typed out of a mind that failed to comprehend what Fabiyi stated.

For now, it is an allegation until proven otherwise. By the way he called on Police to do the right thing by not violating Fabiyi's human fundamental rights as enshrined in the law. He should be given fair hearing/tried in the court.

grin Yomi will be the only person at that protest, before the politically correct police tag anyone that shows up a rape apologist or paedophile sympathizer. Nigerians are very rigid.
The police and prosecutors should avoid unnecessary drama and grant him bail.

Naija no really get dedicated hardcore artiste, if so; most yeyebrities no for publicly dey showcase support for awful & appalling act.

See, they’re not showcasing support for the act. They’re exposing the rot in the system.

I’m not sure if it’s a bailable charge or not but if it is then he should be allowed bail. Simple.

Please separate the alleged act from the bail process.

Thanks.

Stupidity is when you think everybody think as you do........Is it criminal offense? Can you allow your relatives to be in police custody without trial...... Please read more about rape and go back to the video and watch it with your right sense and point out where the rape occur.........Those people shouting and bragging on the internet where are they now. The like of Mrs Iyabo Ojo where is she now. We want her to come and give us the full details where he was raping the girl. Don't sell what you cannot buy.....that is the law.

Rapist speaking out for his colleague, this is a sensitive matter, no sane person will even like to associate with it.
but it's against the law to keep someone in detention without court trials, it's like keeping a criminal in a place without telling him what his punishment is

Actor Yomi Fabiyi has demanded the release of Baba Ijesha from detention before Wednesday, May 12th, 2021.

According to him, it is a violation of human rights for the police to continue to detain Baba Ijesha without a court trial.

His offences are bailable. Why are we trying to arm-twist the authorities to break the law? I know it's a novelty in Nigeria to have things done properly but criminals have rights too. The way we treat our criminals also says a lot about the kind of people we are. Releasing him on bail doesn't exonerate him from any crime. Let's keep our emotions in check and let the law take its cause.

Well if Baba Ijesha's offense is an offense where bail is an option, then he should be granted bail. Let's not use sentiment to cloud the issue at hand.

Without prejudice, he should be release on bail. Not because what he did was right but because the rule of law must be followed.

To those calling yomi fabiyi names because of this, asking security operatives to follow due process doesn't make him an accomplice. Don't be too emotional

Even Derek Chauvin wey kill person for everybody eye on top video got bail and was sent back to prison immediately found guilty, it’s the rule of law. Too many people don’t know
