The north can issue all the threats they want. The only thing holding Nigeria together is the disunity in the south. If the SE/SS/SW form a common front and simply declare the amalgamation of 1914 no longer valid, that's the end of the story. The North can't fight the whole south at the same time. Moreso if the South offer to recognise and support a 'Middle belt republic' which will see the North sub divided.
The most urgent task for the south now is to forge unity. Nothing can change history, weather, Zik, Awo, Civil war, all that is history.
