I believe most lawyers will have a special case to answer before God in heaven for professionally defending evils being perpetrated against humanity. I know they're working in line with their professional training and law doesn't work with emotion, popular trend or empirical view. I strongly belief that God won't spare any lawyer who would go to court to defend hardened terrorist/criminals like Shekau, Hitler, Idi Amy, Osama etc if they were to be caught alive. Moreso, our politicians know that outnumbering prosecuting counsel by a ratio of 5 to 1 in court is all you need to win any corruption case on technical and political ground in Nigeria. |
