Ojukwu was actually the betrayer as he declared the war when the two weeks he agreed with Awo to go back to Ibadan for consultations had not yet elapsed. Secondly in the very beginning of the war Ojukwu gave a very sensitive and one of the most important positions in Biafra to Azikiwe who was the originator of one-Nigerianism philosophy and had the record of having sabotaged all Awolowo's previous attempts to make room in the constitution for peaceful break up of Nigeria. Ask yourself if you would agree to be part of a project in which you will be under the supervision of the very person who once sabotaged your own efforts to start that same project on an earlier date.
