Teeth whitening is just cosmetic jare. If you want your teeth a few shades brighter then go for it.

What matters is scaling and polishing which is the actual cleaning of the teeth. Whitening is not necessary (if you don’t have peculiar stains) and can be uncomfortable because of tooth sensitivity afterwards. Also whitening doesn’t last long.

No need for teeth whitening unless you have external stains. Dentists just want to make money by making you feel insecure about your teeth.
