MaxInDHouse: The people of the book did not call themselves Jew. The actual Hebrew word is Yahudeen meaning descendant of Judah. Just like we have Yahunde in Cameroon who are descendants of Judah. The people of the book have always been black people. Jeremiah 14:2 Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up. |
