Arrest Northern Leaders Now or We Attack HAUSAS! Niger Delta Militants to Goodluck Jonathan Niger-Delta Militants call on President Goodluck Jonathan to arrest Generals Muhammadu Buhari, Ibrahim Babangida , Aliyu Gusau, Mallam Adamu Ciroma and Abubakar Atiku. Failing which, the millitants shall mobilize for "vengance and anger on all Hausa and Fulani people we can find inside and outside our region." Vengeance is absolutely not the way forward, it will only cause more chaos and anarchy. Dear Lord, help this nation. The press release by the joint revolutionary council (JRC) of Niger Delta when you continue, Now that elections are over “We suspended our armed campaign for the independence of the Niger Delta when we discovered that General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and his co-travellers in the Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPLF) were attempting to fund hoodlums in our region to engage in terrorist activities aimed at painting a picture that the Niger Delta freedom fighters are against the Presidential ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan. We saw that the activities of criminal groups funded by the NPLF to oppose the Nigerian President would taint our genuine struggle for the independence of Niger Delta. However, we do not have anything against the Presidential ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan who happens to be from our region that has been politically marginalized under the heavy burden of internal colonialism. Nevertheless, elections have come and gone. It is unfortunate that those who submitted themselves to the process refused to adhere to the layed down laws, rules and regulation enshrined in the Nigerian Electoral Act. Instead they resorted to violence in Northern Nigeria. The violence has led to the indescribable massacre of 10,000 innocent civillians of Southern Nigerian origin by miscreats and supporters of General Muhammadu Buhari and his Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) which lost in the April 16, 2011 Presidential Election. Also, thousands of homes, shops and places of religious worship of people from the south of Nigeria living in the north were burnt and bombed. It is sad that nothing concrete has been done to bring the masterminds and perpetrators of these dastardly acts to justice. We all know that the northern quartet of Mallam Adamu Ciroma, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, General Aliyu Gusau and General Ibrahim Babangida promised that hell will let loose if ruling party (PDP) refused to zone the presidency of Nigeria to the north, thereby setting the tone for a return to a north/south political rivalry. As part of their plans to achieve that, they sponsored terrorist bomb attacks in different part of Nigeria, including an attempt on the life of President Goodluck Jonathan on October 1, 2010. Their attempt to intimidate him out of the Presidential Primaries of PDP failed and he won. Furthermore, the northern quartet rallied round and joined forces with General Muhammadu Buhari and his northern-based CPC in a bid to promote their Northern Regional bias. General Muhammadu Buhari tried to absolve himself of the massacre and mayhem in the north, but there are evidence to proove that he and the northern quartet were the mastermind. Before the beginning of the electoral process he said severally that Nigeria would become another Somalia. He also promised an uprising if the PDP prevents him from winning. The biggest of them all was when he alleged that the ruling party flew millions of ballot papers to several parts of the country in the previous night before the election day. In that reckless remark, he rejected the possible outcome of the election and vowed that he would never challenge the result of election in court neither will he contest in any election after 2011. With this comment, he set the tone for the sporadic violence and massacre of the lives of 10,000 innocent civillians of southern extraction in the north. http://lindaikeji..com/2011/04/arrest-northern-leaders-now-or-we.html |

I hope more pressure will be put on the President to get to the root of this genocide. The time when things like this are swept under the carpet is gone, we must get rid of these evil people. If that can't be done, divide the country and let the Northerners form their Islamic Republic of Buharistan and eat and dine in their sharia. Revenge is unavoidable if nothing is done about this. |

Another empty rant from MEND. This people are good in making statements/threats that they cannot accomplish, knowing fully well that GEJ will not arrest the above mentioned names that are of Northern extraction or else he(GEJ) want a civil war during his tenor. Anyway am waiting for their strikes. |

Sonofpeace: They've carried out all that they have said,so you should be worried as a northerner. The empty rants you are talking about were from the northern fools trying to pose as mend to screw jonathan's chances of presidency,it didnt work. This is the real deal. |

Enough of these threats. Lets see them do it. That is what MEND, OPC and MASSOB has been doing. Just making threats. You rarely hear the North making threats. They simply DO it. |

Nigeria! A country where some people gather together and make threats on the lives of fellow citizens and nobody does anything about it! A country where people kill innocent citizens and only innocent bystanders are arrested (if anyone is arrested at all) #Goddey |

alj harem: Hmmmm, make una take sofri dey dare MEND o! Fly wey no wan hear word go follow dead body enter grave. It is until Northerners starts getting killed in the South South that you will know how serious they are. I don't even know the reason why you are daring them? You think they cannot kill innocent Northerners or what? If they do it, what will happen? Northerners will go to war? SMH. Like I said, don't dare them too much, they will do it o! It is easier than blowing pipelines, and fighting JTF. |

MEND should get a bis and go to Kano to attack the Hausas and not attack helpless Hausas in the Delta |

The problem is that if MEND attacks Hausa-Fulani, they will turn around and revenge it on Igbos and not Ijaws. There is nothing like Ijaw or Urhobo in their dictionary. |

dayokanu: But the almajiri's don't take buses to go down south to face southerners; they usually go on their streets killing helpless southerners. (Not condoning either action; just rationalising) |
Re: Arrest Northern Leaders Now Or We Attack Hausas-militants by Beaf: 3:46am On Apr 29, 2011 |
dayokanu: What makes you think they will be attacking helpless people in the ND? They haven't told you who, where and what they are threatening to attack. @topic These guys are the real deal, not the aboki MEND that has been setting off bombs indiscrimibately all over the place (in so many cases, stvpidly blowing themselves up as well). This is the real deal, so there is real weight to their words. |

How many quality Abokis dey the South? The beggers, Suya sellers, Mai-ruwa and the kiosk owners compare that to the Corpers and the businessmen attacked in the north Think Colateral damage |

dayokanu: That is an excellent point, unfortunately. Besides, reprisal attacks wont do anyone any good. It will just denigrate into a war of attrition. |

Nigeria is a comedy case. In a civilized world, the MEND militants will be rounded up and arrested ASAP for making violent threats. that is how you stop violence before it starts for christ sake! how do we expect GEJ to arrest sly northern millitants when he can't arrest the ones that are making their plans known. |

Beaf: Beaf must you be blind when your brother are involved? They clearly said this "vengance and anger on all Hausa and Fulani people we can find inside and outside our region." On the second bold, they are real? You know this because they are your colleagues, GEJ have communed with them in the past or because they are the once on our payroll? Did you remember how you where full of insults when I stated that they would have "vengance and anger on all Hausa and Fulani people we can find inside and outside our region", should Jonathan have lost? |

Re: Arrest Northern Leaders Now Or We Attack Hausas-militants by Katsumoto: 4:09am On Apr 29, 2011 |
dayokanu: But that is an implausible plan; you are likely to run into more almajiri's on the streets in the North. Are they more useful than people who are gainfully employed down south? Those that need targeting can not be attacked using 'militants in a bus' strategy because they are NOT going to be on the streets. The action of targeting prominent Northerners will lead to a war of attrition. MEND will never go up North to take action that can be traced to them. Besides, you are unlikely to gain anything from the murder of a doctor or shoe-shiner. You don't feel more fulfilled by killing a graduate than you would, if you had killed a suya seller. Life is life. |
Re: Arrest Northern Leaders Now Or We Attack Hausas-militants by Beaf: 4:11am On Apr 29, 2011 |
Failing which, the millitants shall mobilize for "vengance and anger on all Hausa and Fulani people we can find inside and outside our region." Basically, they are seeking excuses to launch country wide actions. ND people generally feel very cheated, brutalised and violated by the core-North, so its like a tinder box, especially with the highly id!otic noises Buhari has made about SE/SS elections, the Ciroma zoning rubbish, and the recent killings in the core-North. IMHO, the threat will come to nothing in the end, not because the boys lack the spirit, but because the FG is alpha and omega, it will make it known to them that it can take care of its own shyte, and they will be hunted down for any crimes they commit as Nigerian citizens. The only real way the militants can go after Hausa's, is if they declare independence and go back to war, that ain't happening soon. However, the call by the militants is very eyecatching, it adds extra pressure and diversity to calls for Buhari's arrest from the likes of Oritsejafo and Wole Soyinka. There have also been weighty calls to caution Buhari from the likes of Gani's son. The calls are coming in thick and fast, they will very likely prove impossible to overlook. |
