Everyone be crying wolf... How many of you are ready to be in the military. You no dey there you dey ask how dem take share am. The northern supremacy in the army will continue because it comes more natural to them as group of people. Military is unpopular in the southwest for instance and you won't see the southwest care if the north keeps getting the COAS or not because naturally it's not something we really excel at. If na book now we go complain. So enough of the rants. They are the majority in the army and we keep having their way unless another tribe starts to dominate which is highly unlikely.

It's not bad . Actually, everyone has their favourites and would push up narratives to favour their candidates.

The CDS is 34rc and late COAS from 35rc. 6 months difference as NDA wasn't degree awarding then. It became degree awarding from 36rc. 34rc and 35rc will clock 35 years of service this year. If Attahiru had not died, they would also have been like their predecessors; Olonisakin and co who stayed beyond 35 years of service. Normally, it is best for a service chief to serve his tenure within the 35 years of service.

The new COAS is 37rc and will clock 35 years of service in 2023, same year a new President would come in and change them. This allows for normal career progression for everyone. Also, unlike secondary school, once your junior is appointed as head in the military, you have to retire. Staying means obeying his every command and him having the authority to lock you up if needed. The promotion in rank finalises his authority over his mates who might be his senior in terms of army number. Any mate of his that is dissatisfied will also put in paper.

The goon is working very hard to destroy the army which gave him the head start when he was not even qualified to don military uniform. Please expatriate on NDA when it was 18 to 30 months and now 4 years. I guess there is not much difference between 6 months for none degree awarding and 12 month for degree awarding NDA.
