Here is a video of Ojukwu saying anyone that wants to ask for Biafra is a fool that should not be taken serious.
That nothing like that will ever happen in Nigeria again.
But a fraudulent fraudster being sponsored by some evil politicians is being taken serious more than ikemba Ojukwu
Brainwashing is worse than poverty.

Affliction will not arise a second time..........

Where's the video?

So in your mind the Igbos are the most suffering ethnic group in Nigeria because of Bubu's nepotism? You're not very wise. Igbos are the last group to actually feel whatever situation Nigeria brings.

Mr Wise man. Happy weekend.

How come Igbos are always barking buhari has marginalized them? Buhari is a nepotism. Buhari this, buhari that?

It has been proved that Nnamdi azikwe was a Nepotistic leader and he marginalized other tribes when he was holding power..

Well detailed info brother..

I have a question..

I read on Nairaland few weeks ago that Nnamdi azikwe was a nepotistic leader..

They said when he was serving Nigeria, his cabinet was filled with igbos..

He even made an Igbo man a UI VC. This is what pained me most after reading the article on Nairaland..

How was he able to archive making an Igbo man UI VC?

Is it true that he was Nepotistic?

If he was truly nepotistic, then Buhari has been serving Igbos what Igbos served Nigeria when they were holding power!

Thanks..

So he played the north. He formed fake alliance with them and marginalized them..

The thing must have pained buhari and northerners to the bone..

That’s why he’s serving them what they served Nigeria..

What of the UI saga? How was he able to make an Igbo man UI VC?

Some of the comments here coming from the same people of Southern Nigeria suffering the backwardness of this country makes me sick.

They will tell you that Igbo officers carried out the first coup and killed all political leaders except that of Igbo origin, then northerners were pushed into killing Igbo civilians in the north as a retaliation, then the counter coup happened and Igbo political leaders were equally killed yet no retaliation from the Igbos. The scores are settled, yet the northerners continued to kill more Igbos, why they continued the killings only God knows.

They will also tell you that Ironsi an Igbo man changed the country from true federalism to unitary system with a decree, but after his assassination why Gowon did not use a decree to return the country to it's former status he instead balkanised the country the more, only God can tell.

They will equally tell you that the Igbos destroyed a near perfect system of regionalism that positioned the nation on a great path to growth, the Igbos admitted that mistakes of Ironsi and sent Ojukwu to Aburi to correct them, other leaders from other regions were also present at Aburi to correct those mistakes and return to regionalism, then an accord was reached, what made Gowon to abandon the Aburi accord and why the Yorubas did not insist on the implementation of that accord remains a mystery that only God can unravel.

Point of correction Mr Osoba, do not try to rewrite history.

Fake news did not trigger the 1967 civil war because the pogroms were already ongoing in the North before the war.
The civil war was triggered by the Hausa-Fulani leaders' decision to jettison a perfect resolution to the volatility that was agreed upon at Aburi, Ghana.

Sadly, this breach of agreement was encouraged by the Yoruba elites like Awolowo, Mobolaji Johnson and Adebayo who never considered that the accord was to their favour as well.
Today Sanwo-Olu is fighting for a special state status for Lagos State. Would he have to do that if his kinsmen didn't sabotage the struggle for a federated nation of sovereign areas?

The civil war could have been prevented if only Yakubu Gowon kept to his side of the bargain.

Just like as in January 4th of 1967, the escalations going on right now can only be defused by regionalizing the nation and abolishing the 1999 Constitution to create one that won't encourage the impoverishment of him who should be rich to enrich him that should be poor.

It is not fair that it is okay for someone from Kebbi who scored 110 in JAMB gets admitted on merit for Medicine in a prestigious university while another from Anambra who scores 360 can't get into the same school for the same course.

It is also not fair that it is okay to see a Fulani man clutching daggers and machete while a Yoruba man who holds a pen-knife is arrested for being in possession of dangerous weapons.

Is it fair that the proceeds of Crude oil gotten from the Niger Delta region are spent in the North while the proceeds of Gold mining only belong to Zamfara?

Is it fair that Kano State should benefit from proceeds of alcohol sale through the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) despite sabotaging the profitability of Alcoholic Breweries and threatening their existence by destroying alcoholic drinks?

To think it is okay for Bagudu to get some of Sani Abacha's recovered loot but the Federal Government has the exclusive right of that of James Ibori and not even Delta State whose funds it is in the first instance.

If different laws apply for different people, then it is only fair to split the country so as not to make anyone feel disenfranchised.

This is common sense but my suggestions can't be taken seriously since my only forte is in masturbationn.[/quote

What caused the pogrom, if you dont mind.

If Igbos are the only people complaining of Bubu, how come Oduduwa secessionists started in Bubu's second term? The people of Benue and Southern Kaduna are proud of Bubu's govt?

Igbos complain of marginalisation right from 1970, Bubu made it worse with nepotism but it doesn't affect the wellbeing of the generality of Igbos more than it affects other ethnic groups including the Fulanis who're so hated now. Igbos knew Bubu would fail woefully so they were mentally prepared

Many things led to the civil war Chief Osoba, do you want to say you don’t know history or you’re just trying to be politically correct?

Often many people believed the killing of Saraduana and Balewa are what led to the North uprising against the Ibos in the North but this is half truth. The Unitary decree of Aguiyi Ironsi caused as much harm as the coup. Infact, it was what led to the initial killing of Ibos in the North, and gave the fertile ground for the counter-coup.

I will give timelines of events below, if anyone need proof of any of the point I raise I will provide it.

Besides the killings of other tribesleader by the majorly coupist of Jan 1966 which everyone knows, the below are some other side of the story.

Decree of 1966:
--May 1966, Ironsi announced that the regions are dissolved and there will be unification of the Public Service.
-- Note: The Ibos have the highest number of civil service candidates then and they are more itinerant than other group, which implies that decree will favor them.
--That decree was popular in the East and the Northerners received it as a blow on them and an act of marginalization against them because they have low number of civil servant. Remember Saraduana video that was trendy then.
--To crown the fears of the Northerers, General Ironsi announced the unification decree while the constitutional report group he set up under the chairmanship of Chief Rotimi Williams haven't concluded their report yet. So he acted on this own.

Riots due to the Decree:
--May 28,1966, A massive demonstration of about 20,000 people held against Ironsi decree in Kano which was organized to present a petition by the military authorities through the Emir of Kano. Slogans used were "Pure Federalism or We Bust", "We denounce abuse of power", We Separate Clearly". Infact that was when the North preached secession. 7 people were reportedly killed that day

Kano, Kaduna, and mining centers of Jos and Bukuru again protested with violence with placards saying "Let there be seccession". Infact over 92 people were killed in that weekend demonstration. They burnt Southerners quarter, houses and over-turned cars. Ironsi replied to the protest by saying he will declare certain area military areas, replace civil court with military court, and death penalty to anyone causing destruction in the North. He also accused the Arab world of being behind the protesters coz they are friends to Saraduana.

In June 1966, The government declared Dusk to Dawn curfew and these riots and killing still continued with rumors in the North that the Ibos will counter-attack. I don't know if Chief Osoba is referring to this.

--Over 100 emirs and Chiefs in the North gave an ultimatum to the Ironsi government to reject the decree. The resolution was presented by the 65-year old Sultan of Sokoto then who is also the uncle of Saraduana where they demanded Nigeria should stay Federal, and old boundaries should remain as before.

--The progom continues with several Ibos being killed across the North. The North sensed domination of the Ibos because the constitutional study group haven't submitted their report yet but Ironsi still abolished the system. Then the sentiment is that Ironis is running a Ibo regime just like people are talking about Fulani regime now. Gombe, Katsina, Bauchi also joined in the attacks mainly against the Ibos.

Counter Coup:
--July 1966, the mutineers arrested Ironsi and later killed him which set the ball rolling for more violent attacks here and there. Brigadier Ogundipe who is the Chief of Staff to Ironsi made a broadcast saying the military is still in control with but what happened in few days after showed that the mutineers want none of Ironsi regime and are all out for revenge. Cut story short, Gowon took power.

--Aug 1966, Gowon took power as a Northerner, first it is decisive, he is a Christian and he is from the minority so he is seen as a great asset not only in Uniting the North as a common force but also to appear to the South as being relatively acceptable. Then he ordered the release of Awolowo, Enahoro and other political prisoners which was a masterstroke, now you have the buy-in of some Awo symphatizers who are by far the vast majority of the Yorubas and some of the Edo areas.

All these contributed to other riots, killings, thousand Ibos killed in the North, Ibos retaliated in Port Hacourt killing 25 Hausas, plane evacuating Ibos, and eventually the civil war as the ending game.

u wrote rubbish...the igbos are gradually fanning another ember of war against them in the north again........bit when someone is destine to loss nothing can bring him to light...........that igbos coup birthed all this thrash u wrote...cos if u want to do coup u have to target all the politicians across board..u spare some and think their won't be revenge?continue writing history about to repeat is self again

The unitary system was a pure military constitution, nothing ethnic about it. If it wasn't so, Gowon would have respected the Aburi accord and devolved power. After all, a strong center wouldn't favour his people going by your post.

No General will weaken his power only to make subordinates more powerful. It's against military ethos, thats why Aburi was thrown out.

Affliction will not arise a second time..........[/s]

This is common sense but my suggestions can't be taken seriously since my only forte is in masturbationn.[/quote]
