All I see in this whole kidnapping things in the north is a northern elite empowerment of their youths against any eventual war that might spring up from all the agitations from the south. They are stocking their ware house with arms bought from the ransoms. Till date, no security agency has invited Gumi for questioning about his closeness to the so called bandits.

The Problem with dividing Nigeria is that the same crop of Leaders that are ruling each region now will be the same ones to lead the separation and they make rules. The Bible said it thousands of years past :
"Then I said: “Wisdom is better than strength. Nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, And his words are not heard" Ecclesiastes 9V16

My conclusion:- Develop your land and turn it into a Dubai and see how everyone will flock to it to have a better life. If can't develop your land now, it is not when you have country that you can achieve that

You're blessed.
I've been saying it, that the igbos are not really ready for Biafra. How can you be agitating for a country and you have not put things in place. How many investments have the igbo leaders driven down east? How many developmental projects have been carried out in the east, does the east even have good roads? What are the eastern governors doing to ensure the development of the region?
What have they done to encourage and lure igbo entrepreneurs to drive their investment to the east?
What has been done to lure foreign investors down east?
What have they put in place to ensure that igbos do not suffer when they finally get independence? Nothing.
What drove the igbos to every nook and cranny of Nigeria immediately after the war is still what will drive them out of the east, should they be given independence today.
Accept it or not, the igbos have been instrumental in the development of other parts of Nigeria (especially the northern and western regions) but it's unfortunate that in a bid to get individual wealth, they forgot to develop home. Some igbo leaders/governors romanced with the federal government to destroy the little that is left of the eastern region. Where is Ariaria international market today, what has become of it?
Secondly, the Igbos are not united at all. A company of unwise men who are united are wiser and stronger than a company of wise men who are not united.
Ndi Igbos, wake up. Unity is Strength.

Na them them.

The two largest States in terms of landmass (Borno and Niger) has be taking over by terror group.
The 3rd State in terms of landmass is Taraba, they should blaze up

Sometimes I wonder if Nigeria is still a sovereign State

Nigeria is no longer a sovereign state, it's now a failed state.

You are insanely and intelligently funny.

iamadonis2:
A ministry should be set up to regulate the activities of these kidnappers if they can’t be stopped.

1. A ministry to determine how many Northerners they can kidnap in a week.

2. The proper pricing and negotiation of ransom payments.

3. The holding facility for the abductees.

4. Taxable income of every registered kidnapper.

All these oversight functions will come under the purview of the Ministry.

Even the leaders and security men in those places should be sacked anx sent to jail...how many buses did they use to kidnap 200 numbers of students..? A luxurious bus will take 70 men ,it means they need 3 buses to take away the students and yet no security intercepted them ..Something is realy wrong oo
