I have hired both for my own small company, and for multinationals whose countries permit such practices. I can only speak for myself, but for us beauty has very little to do with it (doesn't hurt though, to be knock dead gorgeous ). A picture tells a thousand words - personality, grooming, status etc. It is just another tool to shortlist candidates for an employer who has a good concept of the ideal candidate.
