PRESS RELEASE

The Governing Council of the University of Lagos, at its meeting on Monday, May 31, 2021, approved the immediate dismissal of Dr. Boniface lgbeneghu of the Department of European Languages and Integration Studies, Faculty of Arts and Dr. Samuel Omoniyi Oladipo of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, from the services of the University. Council, at its meeting, considered the Report and findings of the Senate Committee set up to investigate allegations of sexual harassment levelled against them in a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) World Service Investigative Series titled AFRICA EYE (which centred on sexual harassment in tertiary institutions).

The Council consequently decided and approved that both Dr. Boniface lgbeneghu and Dr. Samuel Omoniyi Oladipo be dismissed from the services of the University for misconduct, with effect from Monday, May 31. 2021 in line with section 18 of the University of Lagos Act 1967.

Council further directed that the Management should review the Sexual harassment Policy as may be necessary and institute effective strategies to prevent future occurrence.

There should be other disciplinary measures to address this sex-for-grade issue.

Stricts warning, suspension and demotion should have been adopted.

Dismissal not enough, they should be handed over to police for proper prosecution in court and if found guilty they should serve their prison sentence without mercy.
All these idiots called lecturer has really caused alot of havoc within the university community.

Do you see why Nigerian universities produce semi-finished products , most of the lecturers there are dead woods.All they spend time on their is demanding for salary increase from government or free sex from their students.Don't think it's the only male lecturers that do ,it all of them are rotten.Polytechnics are even worse.The Academia is the laziest and the most unproductive segment of the economy.Selling them would have been the only positive and lasting legacy Buhari would have left behind if he had succeeded.But it was the same parents whose children 's lives are being destroyed by the needless, senseless and incessant strikes of the lecturers that stood up stoutly to oppose it.Though Buhari too would have made a mess of the sale because he himself can never do anything right.That capacity is not in him.He would have sold it to Myetti by proxy..

This why The Nigerian education system has gone down the drain because 99 percent of lecturers does this. They collect money or sex for grades, when results are pasted you see girls with empty skulls scoring A while those that study hard keep getting an E.
