The reason why Nigeria government treats igbo's badly is because, the government is still ruled by the 60s set, and this group sees all igbo as azikiwe children.

To them azikiwe was the one who proposed "forced unity" and viewed succession as an act of treason, so when they come after you as an igbo, either ojukwu or kanu all they see is azikiwe children.

And when this people rebel they label them treasons then go ahead to teach/show them the ancient form of consent. In the olden days any form of rebellion is quelled by force, no diplomacy. One group must bow to the others argument.

The psychology is: retributive vengeance, born out of a frustrated joy of vindication.

They are like "your father did this", so sit back and enjoy the ride, by hook or by crook.

Sure, time will tell.
But before then we need to understand the situation and enlighten the people. Majority of those spreading enmity don't really know what they are doing, and a good part are doing it based on pressure.
