So in your dictionary, disguising locations does not mean it's being blurred out? I made it clear earlier. With all the bots and the massive following of Namdi Kanu, there's no way you can tell me that Twitter never saw those comments. Not when even ordinary people like myself can get banned without being reported by any individual.

And when did the ban even become effective? Something was banned at 11am today and you're here talking about appreciation. Also, unless you lack exposure, you should know that suspension is the standard adopted in most places. Political party members, news outlets, football players, presenters, etc are hardly ever banned permanently for an offence. Its not about fear or anything, its the norm Mr Chestbeatercheesy

But your idiotic Garba Shehu stated that the ban wasn't directly tied with the deletion of the president's tweet na. Plus, other countries have permanently banned twitter and twitter didn't bat an eye (more prosperous nations than our useless country). You get banned because you're BMC; we report you guys regularly. We no dey tolerate your very foolish tweets. And please, it's not chest beating, Nigeria's economy go hear am if the ban continues, in fact, the screenshot below shows that our economy hear am just few hours of the ban. It won't affect twitter. If Una talk too much, twitter will just buy the country and turn Buhari to bot grin

Thinking you can insult the Igbo man forever and keep him down because he lost a war that other countries like Britain help you win is the greatest undoing of the Lugardian contraption. If dissolution cannot be done peacefully for others to decide where they belong, because you said so, then be ready to sleep with your eyes opened forever.

Do Nigerians even appreciate the action of the FG to suspend Twitter?

Twitter has been so irresponsible.

The suspension was long overdue.

Not at all.
You would agree zillion of posts filter through their channels every seconds, issues are only treated if reported. If you do not report, it may take a very long time before they would detect a negative post. This has nothing to do with FG treating any Fup

This is one trait of of some monkeys here. Once you disagree with them, you become a Buhari supporter. Check some of my posts for reference, I'm a big critic of this government but unlike many idiots here, I do mine with tact and I praise the government when it does something right. You can insult Garba and Buhari from now till tomorrow, I'll just laugh (or even agree with you).

I don't know much about the cost of the ban, but I do know that Twitter is also losing so much money that could have been generated from adverts. And anybody with half a brain knows that Twitter doesn't have enough to buy even a quarter of this country. Twitter is not Google or Facebook, dummycheesy

Why are you people so senseless?

Don’t you know there is a report button on Twitter and it was so easy for Nigerians to report buhari’s tweet cos he’s a sitting president followed by many Nigerians and even people who are not following him will get to see his tweet cos of his status ... a lot of people must have reported the tweet for Twitter to delete it...

Now back to NK tweet... who cld have reported it and make Twitter see the need to delete it? Lai Mohammed, el Rufai and who else? And you think Twitter would have been notified to review it with just 5 people reporting it?

You’re a joke ...

I’m even more shocked that some more Ediots are liking the post you just made

Too late. Let them move with Biafra to Ghana let the rest of us continue to manage ourselves.

Not one of these idiots have an iota of national pride. Common internet blogger tells a sitting President he doesn’t know who he is and goes on to allow secessionist chats while blocking the president’s Twitter. What arrant disrespect and nonsense.

For the idiots following this base criminal tout whatever comes to you is what you have been asking for. Your general is missing but you are sacrificing your lives for a basic thief that is too cowardly to come and stand and fight for what he says he believes.

This is now where the government should engage with dialogue with the social media operators. They cannot sit back and watch nonsense happening and bear no responsibility.

Twitter wouldn't have noticed and deleted Buhari's post but for the people who reported the post.

Same thing for Kanu's post, the FG should have reported that earlier.

Twitter has millions of users, how will Jack and his comrades effectively police the app against misuse if offenders aren't reported?

@MBuhari shouldn't take it personally. Even if he does, he shouldn't drag the rest of us into the personal clash he has with the bird app.
When @MBuhari made his position clear about those undermining our already fragile security which twitter mischievously chose to understand it differently, MBuhari did not do that as private citizen. He made those warning statement in his capacity as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which he is currently. Therefore, the ban placed on twitter should not be conceived as personal. It is ill thought to even think like that.
I'm hundred percent sure Jacks and his comrades policing his app are persons who can read and understand English language not needing anyone interpretation. So How could they have accepted to take down the president's simple statement just because some disgruntled elements reported it as offensive? While over the years, the idiots kept on accepting vulgar languages against the president and the country from these same sect of people Jacks' team felt @MBuhari statement hurt! Or are we saying claims for instance that the person in the aso rock today is not Buhari but an impostor is not capable of igniting chaos and crises in the country? Yet twitter could allow that for what reason but would undermine a simple rebuttal of the president to discords mongers.
If there is any personalizing here, then Jacks and his twitter started everything.

And you thought you were making sense. Twitter did not even respect your country enough to not only know the President’s account but put out a disrespectful statement following it. You people lack basic human pride that is why a poor tech app like Twitter has you dancing azonto.

Let us see who in Ghana is using their app to support them opening an office there, nonsense.

Did our President respect his country? Respect, they say, is reciprocal. Buhari is an idiot, so it's understandable if others see him as such. It's not their fault. Could they do same to Obasanjo? Impossible
