VACANCY FOR Volunteer Fundraising Manager
Do you have years of experience coordinating fundraising efforts and a desire to develop entrepreneurs in the society? African Centre for Entrepreneurship and Information Development -ACEIDEV is in need of a Volunteer Fundraising Manager (VFM) who is not afraid to get his or her hands dirty with fund raising efforts and take risks and raise funds for the organization.
If hired, you will be leading a team of hard-working individuals who are all interested in seeing this non-profit succeed. You will always need to have an eye toward the future and determine which projects are worth continuing and which should be let go. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to make some tangible changes in increasing entrepreneurial opportunities in the society.
Job Responsibilities
The Fund Raising Manager should be able to:
 Create and establish positive relationship stakeholders, Local and Foreign Donor Organizations, Government Ministries Departments and Agencies, The Media, Civil Society Organizations and Grassroots groups.
 Initiate and direct creative fundraising strategies based on informed research, networks and opportunities
 Conceptualize and develop fundable proposal for the organization
 Work with the Executive Director to evaluate priority programmes from the organization’s Strategy Document for funding.
 Delegate duties and supervise the Fund Raising Department in accordance with the organization’s objectives, evaluate performance and compliance periodically.
 Pursue efforts to keep the non-profit’s public image positive, which can entail promoting events regularly
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, fundraising or similar area
• At least five years of experience working in fundraising or public relations
• Experience leading a team to success
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in a related field
• Knowledge of relevant software
