What is the difference between herdsmen, boko Haram and the military?

After you tell us the answer then tell us who the governor is measuring up to fight.

Great one from aketi and SW governors...but instead of these cars that can't enter some bushes....let them get more okadas, they should also get lots and lots of these dogs (train them to specifically attack and bite those herdsmen).....if they have like 40 of these dogs in each unit it won't be bad.

Ride on Aketi..

AMOTEKUN: Governor Akeredolu Canvasses Home-Grown Approach To Tackle Insecurity

•Inaugurates 503 Fresh Intake

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has said crime is a local issue that should be addressed with a large dose of home-grown content.

The Governor noted that Amotekun Security Corps initiative is a baby of necessity conceived as a home-grown approach to solving the plethora of security challenges that have put the people on the edge.

Governor Akeredolu spoke on Tuesday at the passing-out ceremony for the newly recruited Amotekun Corps officers held at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Arcade, Igbatoro Road, Akure, the state capital.

The event was part of the activities marking the first 100 days of Governor Akeredolu's second term.

The Governor also commissioned 20 new patrol vehicles to boost the operations of the state security network.

He unveiled the Roadmap to Internal and Border Security in Ondo state, assuring that the state shall become the safest and most secured in the country if the strategies contained in the roadmap are religiously implemented.

Arakunrin Akeredolu said Amotekun’s impact has been remarkable, adding that the security outfit has also given the people of the state hope in the management of security, despite that it came into being just a little over a year ago.

“It has further reinforced our long time view that State and community-based policing is the panacea to the country’s security challenges.

“Let me reassure the good people of Ondo State that our administration will leave no stone unturned as far as the implementation of our REDEEMED Agenda is concerned.

“The sixth goal of the Agenda which is “Maintenance of Law and Order for Adequate Security” is the reason why we are here today. I enjoin all the good people of Ondo State to lend your cooperation in terms of providing credible intelligence and financial support towards the success of this initiative.

“Today’s event is one of the milestones recorded by our administration in our attempt to redeem Ondo State from the shackles of poverty, disease, and underdevelopment. These cannot be achieved without a sense of safety and peace,” Governor Akeredolu said.

He commended the commander of the Security Agency, Chief Adetunji Adeleye for the brilliant work put into the roadmap, promising that he will always provide the right leadership for the Agency to flourish.

Governor Akeredolu appreciated members of the State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, for their tireless legislative support in making Amotekun a reality.

He also thanked the traditional rulers for their immense support and cooperation and the leadership of all the security agencies in the state for their cooperation in tackling security challenges.

The difference between the South West security outfeat Amotekun and the South East outfeat ESN is of wide range. The Amotekun security setting is organized and sophisticated but the ESN is something more of a terrorist group not really after the security of the Igbo land but for destruction of the land, killing of their own people for not supporting their course.

No be so my brother, am just displeased with the ways Igbos are going about their agitation allowing one coward to go hide in UK with his family where he claimed citizenship while he instigate violence and destruction that see many unprotected people died and properties destroyed. Disintegration can still be achieved without incitement, aggression and violence violence.

Your style of leadership not bad sir

You know the importance of security to those that put their energy, time & funds in to farming.

You know farming is synonymous to ondo state. Carry on sir. You're giving room to raise your GDP in the sunshine state. Not giving room to strange men with AK47,matchets & sticks to carryout their nefarious activities on your father land. So proactive of you. Not like others playing politics with security at the expense of the youths with vigour & visions.

Farmers rides private jets in US.... we can copy that by providing enabling environment for the populace.

Why are the herdsmen not killing farmers in the north as compared to middle belt, southeast,& south west. Needless you talk about it,just act. Don't wait for reactions, because the evil men think less.

Those business men employing the herdsmen & equipping with guns will come out of their shells when you come hard on their employees without Saying a word. Let the legacy spread to other States.
