Modern septic tanks today are portable in sizes and very convenient to construct.
It's a small rectangular shaped box constructed with either precast slabs or blocks, installed with some filtration fibres and some other materials that processes toilet waste and converts to recycled water.

It won't get full neither will it emit foul smells. It will never allow cockroaches to use it as their breeding ground due to the materials installed in it.
Maintenance is very low and can last as long as the building.

The benefits far outweighs the old traditional soakaways especially when you have very small piece of land to manage or in water-logged terrains.

It uses micro bacterials in the process which feeds on toilet waste and also multiply from 1 to 100,000 within 24 hours.
The treated chemicals put in the digester produces the micro organisms that feed on the waste and by this process, it doesn't get filled up

The biodigester chamber consist of a filter such that when you flush your water closet, the biodigester filters the toilet waste through grades of porous sands and biological filters consisting of a medium of soil infused with environmentally friendly bacteria for degrading human waste.

In summary, it processes and converts toilet waste to either recycled water which could be channelled to a public drainage or to a garden or cooking gas.
