I find it very difficult passing a night in Lagos. Way back, whenever I come to Lagos to buy stuff, I ensure I avoid passing a night in Lagos, by gladly taking night bus to run away from sleeping in Lagos.

I cant imagine where other Nigerian cities will rank if they carried out survey there,l. As far as I'm concerned, Lagos is the best city in Nigeria(congestion is the problem here).
Imagine if the survey was carried out in places like Aba, Onitsha, Kaduna, Ibadan, Ilorin etc...these cities are by far worst than Lagos. Lagos is the only sane place in Nigeria rn...as for the peopla happy about this news, please go back to your city since you claim Lagos is so terrible

Yepa! See all the cities they categorized Lagos state with despite all the pseudo-infrastructural development created by Sanwoolu.

Though I don't believe such about this report because they were not on ground to do a thorough analysis...this is a backyard report.

There’s no cities in USA/UK/Canada in most livable cities..

So it’s Australia and New Zealand that are most livable..

It’s a trashy something..

Okay...

Years ago I stepped into Lagos. My Lord, I couldn't tame the disappointment that struck me like an impact from a nuke. Sat in the car looking at what I didn't envision.

For a thing I sometimes prefer keeping certain things to myself, because when I talked to a few people about how a city should be, they think I was playing the tribalism card.

The ten liveable cities listed are the best amongst the best, and the least liveable cities are the worst amongst the worst.

Every time I land in that city, I keep querying what all the hype is about...

How the rating is calculated

The liveability score is reached through category weights, which are divided equally into relevant subcategories to ensure that the score covers as many indicators as possible.

Indicators are scored as acceptable, tolerable, uncomfortable, undesirable or intolerable. These are then weighted to produce a rating, where 100 indicates that liveability in a city is ideal and 1 means that it is intolerable.

For qualitative variables, an “EIU rating” is awarded based on the judgment of in-house expert geography analysts and a field correspondent based in each city. For quantitative variables, a rating is calculated based on the relative performance of a location using external data.
