Don’t be surprised that Jesus was angry. It is not a sin to be angry. However, anger can easily lead to sin if one is not careful.



“Be angry, and do not sin”:[f] do not let the sun go down on your wrath” Ephesians 4:26 Nkjv

Apostle Paul, too, taught the Ephesians about anger. In his word, he revealed that anger in itself is not bad as long as it doesn’t lead to sin. You must let go of your anger before the sun goes down. Otherwise, you will be going against the word of God. Of course, going against the word of God is a sure visa to hell.



So, Jesus didn’t commit any sin by getting angry.



"And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, 'Stretch out your hand.' And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other."

Mark 3:5 Nkjv



As revealed above, he became angry due to the hardness of the hearts of the people in the synagogue when he wanted to heal a man with a withered hand (that was the only time he was angry in the Bible). Why would anyone cherish a resting day more than the most precious thing on earth: The human life?



The people of his time were too religious to understand the importance of loving their neighbors as themselves, even on a sabbath day. They considered helping others as work on a sabbath day, which is a day God commanded everyone to rest.



Jesus was indignant at the way they reverenced the resting day more than saving the lives of people.



Sometimes, we have to look away from the religious practices; especially during the times that a good deed or act of love needs to be done.



Love supercedes all thing. Anything that fails to consider love is not worth it; also, sabbath without an act of love is not worth it.



Lastly, we all aspire to be Jesus-like. That does not give us the permission to be angry unnecessarily. In fact, it is better to avoid being angry than to be angry and avoid committing sin.



Stay away from anger.

Everything about God, everything about Jesus, God Incarnate, is perfect, so when God is angered, so when Jesus is angry, they all will be a perfect anger(s). It would be a perfect feeling of disapproval, annoyance and/or displeasure at something, someone or some people ways life.

God’s anger is aroused because of peoples' indifference, coldness and hardness of heart, idolatry, unfaithfulness, callousness, bigotry, intolerance towards others different to them,

Don't react to the actions of others. This is made easy when the Holy Spirit lives through you.
